Smallfoot (2018)
Smallfoot (2018)
2018 | Animation, Comedy, Family
Family friendly animated film, that basically turns the Yeti/Sasquatch/Bigfoot legend on its head: they exist (living in a society on the too of a mountain above the cloud line), don't believe humans do and are terrified of the same, basically believing humans to be monsters.

Following an accidental meeting, then, what follows is essentially a culture clash when a certain Big foot discovers (despite what he has always been told) that we do exist, and brings a 'Smallfoot' back to his people to prove his point. Said Smallfoot, however, might have his own agenda...

Under-rated Dreamworks animation, with Will Ferrell voicing the super villain Megamind, who spends his time fighting against the superhero MetroMan.

And then (he thinks) manages to defeat and kill the same, after he he sinks into a funk of depression.

Like Despicable Me, this also has a character called Minion (here, one character instead of a group of the same), with most of the banter coming from the interaction between Megamind and Minion in what is (essentially) a family friendly underdog story as Megamind discovers that being a villain is not everything there is to life.

Pet sematary- is a good adaption of the novel by stephen king.

Doctor Louis Creed moves his family to Maine, where he meets a friendly local named Jud Crandall. After the Creeds' cat is accidentally killed, Crandall advises Louis to bury it in the ground near the old pet cemetery. The cat returns to life, its personality changed for the worse. When Louis' son, Gage, dies tragically, Louis decides to bury the boy's body in the same ground despite the warnings of Crandall and Louis' visions of a deceased patient.

Its haunted, terrorfying, scary and overall good.

Intense sci-fi
This Netflix original is a good one. Once again Netflix comes through with an excellent story. Time travel is always a tough one to make work but they did in this intense action thriller. The characters were played well and the film work was extremely good. It takes place in one house/lab where a machine designed to generate limitless energy somehow loops time. The protagonists have to keep figuring out what to do in each loop to survive. The story unfolds beautifully and is full of twists and turns. Some violence but nothing gory- pretty family friendly. REALLY worth a watch!

A light comedy antidote to the drama heavy Endgame (1 more)
Jake Gyllenhaal hamming it up.
Over CGI'd again at the end. (0 more)
Where does Marvel go after the enormous success of “Avengers: Endgame“? The answer is a joyous comedy romp with your friendly neighbourhood Spider-man. His school trip to Europe was never going to be without incident, but who'd have expected Jake Gyllenhaal to rock up as a new superhero? A good blast of family popcorn fun.
