One of the most awesome moments of cinema history, courtesy of Mr Hopkins. I won't give it away, but if you don't belly laugh, a sense of humour bypass is going on (4 more)
Decent storyline
Refreshingly fun
Some great moments of scripting genius
Just Anthony Hopkins!!!
Decent one for a family with pre teens

Deborah (162 KP) rated Riseley: Our Village in Books
Dec 21, 2018
Nice local history book produced by residents for the millennium. My Grandma's family are from this village so lots of familiar names. Also a photo and some anecdotes from Grandma (Ida Bates, nee Hancock) were a nice touch from a personal perspective. There's also a photo of my great-great grandfather (although not noted in the text) and of 'Tink' Hancock, who would have been a great-great uncle. The section on the church was written by Phillip Nicholls, who is a cousin on another side of the family! Lots of interest for me here, as you can see.
This book is different then others I have read. For the format is in Diary setting. Though I understood the story behind it. This was great read. It told more of the history of the Trail. It about a girl that goes though the some hardships and adjustments.
Florrie and her family travel from Arrow Rock, Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Florrie and her brother Jem need to adjust to having a stepfather named Mr. Ryder. You learn a lot about the daily life of being on the Santa Fe Trail back in 1848.
Most of this dairy tell you the History of America during that time. Most of the dairy is down on the trail of The Santa Fe Trail. Though that like to learn about America History, this is good for young readers.

Lindsay (1706 KP) rated The Green Dress (True Colors #6) in Books
May 27, 2020
The Green Dress is about a woman who is staying with the Robinson family. There seem to be strange illnesses or deaths occur. It seems to be about a woman named Sarah Jane Robinson. What is going on in the house is strange.
Harriet seems to bring in a Dr. Weaton. She moved into the Robinson family household but things seem to happen more once Lizzie passes away. But we do not know who it is. As the story goes on and more death occurs. The suspicions rise. Who is killing the Robinson family members and why?
The author does a wonderful job of having you trying to figure out the culprit. You get a history of some of the members. What a way to show some true colors in some folks. This story has you wanting to turn the pages and rooting for the heroes to save the day. You are pulled in emotionally as well. I was guessing Dr. Beers or even Mrs. Robinson. Can Michael and Harriet save the Robinson family members or will it all go bad?

Lindsay (1706 KP) rated Bianca's Vineyard in Books
Feb 15, 2018 (Updated Apr 9, 2019)
We learn about what life was like in Italy at that time. You can read the book in a form of a diary or as someone is telling a story in a storytelling. You can learn the secrets of this family. You also learn a bit about Italian culture. You will learn what Italian culture was at that time in history.
Most of this story is about Egisto and his wife that he married before going to America. Tough as soon as her children when to school. She decided to go back to Italy. The book really does teach us lessons that were going on in Italy.
You also see the family deals with her and the rest of the family. Egisto father was fond of his niece Bianca. Egisto knew the war was coming to Italy. We learn about Armida and her what she decides. She is going to need to make a choice. I feel bad for Armida and Egisto children especially when Armida gets a bit strange.
We learn what the vineyard is about and it meaning to the family. I really like the fact it was told somewhat in a form of a diary. You also learn about each family member that's in Egisto life. It mostly takes place in Italy and his Italian family members. The author did a really good job of showing us what it was like during World War 2 era. You see the reliant of the Italians after the war and shows how the family was back together when Egisto returns.

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
Love, loss, betrayal -- all in the time of Nazis
Elodie and Monique are rummaging through their family attic one day when they come across an old trunk full of letters and memorabilia. They find it all extremely interesting, so they start to peruse the trinkets. Little do they know this will set them on a whirlwind adventure through their family history, bringing to light that which has been hidden for decades.
I absolutely loved this story. It has so much information regarding World War II, and it really gets to the heart of what it was like for families during that time, especially those living in occupied France, such as the one featured. There are many issues expressed during the course of the novel, and not just those stemming for the occupation. It made for a very interesting read that I couldn't put down, and I love the format in which it's written: the story being told to an author in order to help Elodie write the book on her family.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good romp through history, especially the WWII era, as well as those who like intrigue, love stories, and just great stories.

Leonardo DiCaprio (3 more)
Brad Pitt
Margot Robbie
Al Pacino
Just finished watching brilliant movie great performance's from the cast overall as I already knew alot about the history of the Manson family and Sharon Tate murders that shook America in 69. Loved the music score. Both leoando DiCaprio and brad Pitt are excellent as the washed up actor and his stunt double who are the heart and soul of the movie. Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate the actress who would become victim to the family. the film is good but not my favourite Tarantino film that's still pulp fiction but it's good film the only thing too long but that's okay.
