This book follows that journey. However, most of the children in the book did not do much to care for the bird. It mainly was their mother. All family members learn what it is like to raise a baby bird. I know that a true story inspires this.
This book is really for children that can read. The print is a bit small for children. I would think this book means more geared more advanced readers. Otherwise, the book signifies achieved well. The pictures are well-drawn. I did enjoy the images. Images were great to look at, and they could somewhat tell the story.
What will the family do when it is time for Robbie to go? What will Robbie do? Does the mother seem to feel heartfelt when Robbie leaves the nest? This book does teach some tough lessons about wildlife and letting go.

It was ok I was completely engrossed for the first 3/4 of the book I was enjoying the ghost story and the happenings but then they lost me at the end. I just didn’t like the ending much at all it could have gone in so many directions. It was very much like the Enfield story. Overall it was a ok read and didnt take long to get through.

With a very fast pace and a severe case of insta-love, this book tells the story of Preevits and Mugglers. Now Preevits may sound bad, but they have nothing on the Mugglers. And then, of course, you have bad Preevits thrown into the mix too.
Finishing on a high, with a possible link to a further book, this is a book for readers of the YOUNG adult genre, with a paranormal twist.

Jim (James) Brennan is a criminologist professor, a vice chancellor of the local university. We meet him as he gets off a flight from Beijing in order to go to his local police station where his son is being held. Jim has tried hard to make his life as different as possible from the one he grew up in: his father was a local legend and hard man. Everyone was scared of his violence. It looks as though Jim’s son is determined to take up from where his grandfather left off.
Things go from bad to worse, when someone is determined to undermine everything Jim has tried to do for himself and his family.
I really enjoyed this. There’s never a dull moment (much to Jim’s detriment!), and Jim finds himself in a terribly awkward situation. He has to decide between his family and his reputation - or is there a way that he can protect both?
This is exciting stuff, and had me guessing up to the last page.
