I love finding new to me authors, especially when it’s one like this! Ms. Blackburn is a fantastic author! She has created a wonderful story, full of amazing characters and I was hooked from the first page. Each page, each new character, each new plot twist had me on the edge of my seat and staying up late to finish the intense, captivating ride.

I loved Ryan and Leigh so much! They were wonderfully chiseled and their feelings really jumped off the page and became my own. The way they interacted and the way their story just pulled together was fantabulous.

This is a 4 star worthy novel and each page is fantastically done. The intensity of the crimes, the grace and mercy that’s woven in, the sparks of romance between characters really pull the reader into the middle of the story and doesn’t let them go. This is one of those books that will stay with you long, long past the last page. I’m highly anticipating the release of book in this fantastic new series! Well done, Ms. Blackburn! You’ve got a forever fan in me!

Cathy's at it again!

This book picks up right where Looking for La La leaves off: "La La" has been caught, the TTMs have moved on in various ways, and Cathy's joined the workforce once again. However, now there's a Creeper on the loose, and it's becoming a real issue in the community. Worst of all, it seems like the police might be zeroing in on one of Cathy's close friends! Not one to just take these kinds of things lying down, Cathy's out to prove her friend's innocence while also setting her sights on catching the Creeper herself. (With a little help, of course.) Will they be able to stop the burglaries before it escalates into something more?

I loved this one just as much as La La, if not more. The characters are great, the story's captivating, and I found myself investigating right along with Cathy, trying to figure out who it could be. I have to say, the twists in this series are fantastic, and I didn't call this one anymore than I did the last! I hope there's more Crouch End mysteries to come, they're just fantastic!

My favourite movie of all time
This is by far my favourite movie of all time.

Created my Tim Burton who is also my favourite director (yes I know he didn't direct this)

The style he uses in incredible. It's all stop motion which basically means he builds real life models, takes a picture of it in a pose and then takes another in a slightly different pose then and another and another until the pictures come together to look like a moving model. It's incredible and if you watch the behind the scenes you can see the effort they put into this movie and it shows.

The character designs are so good as well as the locations.

The plot is pretty much halloweentown finds Christmas for the first time. It's fun, funny, emotional, even creepy and it's just a good time all the way through.

The music is fantastic. Every song is unique and catchy and you will find the soundtrack on my phone. Actors are incredible and at perfect for the roles they play.

People tend to ask if it's a Halloween or Christmas movie but I watch it anytime of the year.

A Quiet Place: Part II (2021)
A Quiet Place: Part II (2021)
2021 | Horror, Thriller
A Quiet Place Part II is a wonderful example of a sequel done right. Everything that made the first one such a tense and fulfilling thriller experience is still present and correct, but Part II builds on those elements in every way.
The younger actors are fantastic, especial Millicent Simmonds. She essentially takes the lead this time around, and the film is richer for it. The narrative isn't too different to be honest, but it does expand on the general lore of the series and flirts a little with how the apocalypse came to be, something I wanted to see for sure.
With this sequel comes a bigger budget, and it certainly shows. The aliens look great, and the action is more abundant and chaotic. This is also a slight criticism - the set pieces are well done and entertaining, but it does mean that the quiet intensity of the first movie is pushed to the wayside a little. It's still there, but sits out more than I would have liked.

It's hard to say whether Part II is a superior film to it's predecessor or not, but as a pair of films, they make for a fantastic double viewing. I'm excited to see what comes next.

A classic
Okay before I added my rating it was at 6.7 💣... I'm actually quite surprised at this as I have found it to be an all rounder. It has everything a sitcom should have. The writing is fantastic (Thank you Ruth Jones and James Corden) the acting is excellently done (you can get the odd hero that over acts in a lovely simple sitcom like this - luckily this isn't the case with G&S), the casting is fantastic and I love the locations etc.. That sounds random but the homes they are in feel like the characters homes, the hometowns suit the actors that have been cast as well. In some sitcoms you can think of another actor or actress that could have played the part better etc.. but in this, the parts were perfectly cast.
There's nothing unrealistic about it, it feels real, something that could be happening to someone down the road from you. The meeting over the phone rings true with me as I met my husband through a mutual friend on xbox!!! (We have now been together 7 years and have a beautiful daughter)
So yeah, I'd recommend if you like a classic, British heartwarming comedy.

Big favourite in our household - probably an 8 or 9 out of 10. Can't wait for the Christmas special this year!
