I really enjoyed this.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the amount of 1 and 2 star reviews for this, but I have to say I liked it. Okay, so it wasn't a typical paranormal romance. It has several gory scenes and some scary characters but there's still romance in it. And it's probably leaning more toward Urban Fantasy with a splash of Horror mixed in. I'll say it isn't for the squeamish because there are some detailed scenes of deformity and injuries and it isn't always pretty reading.

I really liked the two main characters, Nathan and Carrie, and some of the lesser seen ones; Ziggy, Max and the butler that I've currently forgotten the name of :S.

The progression of Carrie from concerned Doctor to kick-arse vampire hunter was an interesting journey and I loved her relationship with Nathan. They are so good together.

I don't think I have enough words to describe just how much I enjoyed this book. I choose to read it because the cover was gorgeous and the plot sounded different. Indeed a girl who wishes upon the stars and ends up with a bunch of men madly in love with her.
The plot was well written and kept you guessing as to what was going to happen. As this is only part one it left off on a massive cliff hanger. One that insures if you read the first part you will jump right into getting the second.
For fans of fantasy, romance, and quests.

Vane has no memory of his life before his parents were killed in a tornado. Audra has spent her entire life guarding him, but always from a distance. But when the winds of change come into their lives, can Audra train Vane to meet his destiny? I really enjoyed this YA fantasy novel with a strong romance. The characters were great, and it was easy to pull for them. And the plot moved along well, leading to a climax that kept me turning pages.

This was a really interesting book. I really liked the fact that the book had some pictures in it. It helps the reader visualize what the character is seeing. The pictures are old vintage photos so it also helped shape the feel of the book too.

I waited a while to read this book because of the price but I will say that this book was worth the money I spent on it. It has fantasy, mystery and a little bit of romance. It shows the struggles of the characters and makes you entranced with the writing.

Ransom Riggs is a very good author and this book was well written.
