Deserving Best Picture Winner
I'm so happy that this film won the Best Picture Oscar, it is by the far the best film I saw in 2015 and deserves every accolade thrown at it. It has a fantastic ensemble cast, and despite the sombre and depressing subject matter, still comes across as an excellent film. It might be difficult to watch, but it's a brilliant telling of a true story.
Absolutely give it a go.

If you are not already acquainted with this series, and you are a fan of horror and/or psychological thriller fiction, this is an absolutely perfect place to start. It is written in parts, detailing Asakawa’s investigation of a set of mysterious murders and the discovery of a far greater curse. No part is so long as to drag on needlessly, though some are rather short.

With this romantic paranormal action packed novel you have the chance to be introduced to The Warriors of Posideon. Prince Colin has returned to Atlantis after 7 years of captivity to find his soul meld mate Riley. Riley is far different from the woman of Atlantis for one has a gift no one has seen in or heard of in 1000 years. Finding love is never that easy.

This was a pretty good movie. Rami Malek did a fantastic job playing Freddy Mercury. Not being an avid fan of Queen because I wasn't born until 1985, I did learn some things about the band that I otherwise wouldn't have known. I think the best part of the movie was probably the last thirty minutes as far as the music is concerned. It's definitely worth watching.

A must watch for Slasher fans
An above average straight to DVD slasher. Surprised could have done ok at the cinema. A creepy looking killer, good location, quite a few familiar faces in the cast including William Sadler! Quite gory in places, the story is original if very far fetched. A mix of 8mm, Scream and Wrong turn. Better than most recent slasher films I've seen.

I have to say I think this is way over hyped! Waaaay too long at 3 hours I'm sure it could be cut to 2 hours and not miss much. Compared to some more recent war films, this looks a little dated now. It's ok, great actors, good cinematography. The way it charts the friends lives together before, during and after the war is good, but far from a great film.

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated In Legend Born (Chronicles of Sirkara, #1) in Books

Well-written high fantasy, but honestly, it just went on too long. So far, everybody has lost someone important. Anybody who loves anyone seems to be doomed. Betrayals are everywhere, and that's something I find profoundly disturbing.
The book did end on a note of hope, and I want to know what happens next. I just don't know if I want it enough to slog through (at least) two more volumes.

Brothers Old Red and Big Red travel back to Texas to figure out who killed the love of Old Red's life several years before. This is the darkest book in the series so far without quite as much humor. But it was still compelling reading for fans of the series.

This novella is Chris Merit's POV and it begins straight after Revealing Us ends.
The story continues in Paris, You learn what happened to Chris and you get an inkling into what makes him tick. Sara gets to see the painted dragons and the real dragons in Chris's Paris life. I Loved this but it was over far to quick for me and I just want more...
