Masterpiece of dispair
This film starts at a low and struggles throughout to dig its way out. Its not without hope but we only seen the potential in a distant glimmer before its snatched away. Mickey Rourke is amazing and Tomei achieves in the supporting role. Fair play to the Screenwriter (Siegel) and the director who have produced this excellent and thoughtful film. Simple and not far off perfect.
tapestry100 (306 KP) rated Hard Candy by Madonna in Music

Probably my least favorite of Madonna's contemporary albums. The R&B/hiphop feel of the album just doesn't work for me, and too often the songs sound like they are someone else's track featuring Madonna, instead of the other way around. Best track on the album by far is Miles Away, followed by Give It 2 Me. I really feel like these are the only 2 tracks that sound like Madonna songs.

Fantastic
I'd go so far as saying this is one of the best Star Wars films. It has a fantastic cast, great script and a thrilling and tense storyline. Gareth Edwards has turned a risky one off prequel into a brilliant and entertaining film. Felicity Jones is a great lead, and I think K-2S0 might be my all time favourite robot, the humour he injects into this film is spot on.

Some genuine creepy scenes (1 more)
Decent cinematography for the budget
Good low budget thriller
A good low budget Horror/Thriller. I'm not sure how it got on my rental list but I had heard of a few of the cast. It's slow to start but the 2nd and 3rd acts are pretty good. Some scenes were rather creepy. It was good how the story unravels. Far from great but worth catching if you spot it.

Fantastic addition to the vampire genre, with so much thought gone into the history, the biology and the infection. The disease/epidemic angle made this unique (as far as I'm aware) in this realm and added so much to the storyline.
It would be interesting to know how the book was written, whether Del Toro had the ideas and Hogan did the writing or if it was more of a joint effort. Still, incredible book.

This is by far one of my favorite books/series. There is no series that is so whimsically, hilariously, bizarrely funny as HGTG. From the moment when Arthur Dent wakes up to his house on the verge of being demolished, to the moment when Vogons once again destroy the Earth (with all of the proper paperwork, of course) You will enjoy the ride, as long as you bring your towel, and don't panic!
Erika (17789 KP) rated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) in Movies

I really liked this movie, but it could have been so much more. I wanted to see Newt hunting the magical beasts all over the world. Hopefully, some of that gets into the next film. What I did not like: Johnny Depp. Why was he in the movie? Why did WB spend money on hiring him? They should have just kept Colin Farrell as Grindelwald.
The niffler was by far, my favorite beast.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Never Cry Werewolf (2008) in Movies
Apr 30, 2019
An ok horror comedy, with a made for TV feel to it. It's pretty much a copy of the cult classic Fright Night, but this time with a Werewolf in place of a Vampire. This time round it's a girl (Nina Dobrev from Vampire diaries) who has to fight the new neighbour. Not a bad werewolf costume but this is far from scary and not that funny. It's not a patch on Fright Night.

A disappointing film, that is far too slow paced and never reaches the climax you hoped for. Straight to DVD release and can't say I'd heard of it before, despite Sean Bean being in it was a warning sign. The production is ok, but I thought this would be a big battle, adventure film set in the times of the plague. It's a different type of film altogether and not a particularly interesting one.
