"I always go back to Death on the Stairs, the Libertines song. I love that tune. It’s the story it tells, it takes me to a place so far away and yet so familiar. It’s really hard though - I don’t believe in first or best or worse, I'm into liberty and verse - as Pete once sang [in a demo for The Libertines’ The Man Who Would be King]. It’s like going through your kids and picking your favourite child"

"I read the great American “East of Eden,” strangely enough, during my first rail trip across Europe. After I completed each chapter I would rip the pages in a chunk from my paper back and leave them in whatever train car I was departing to lighten my load. There was something very comforting having something so American with me while being so far from home. The beauty of Steinbeck's language stays with you for years if not decades."

"One of my favorite books, which I read when I was about twelve or fourteen, was Alfred Russel Wallace’s travels in the Far East in search of the birds of paradise. I thought he was a marvelous man and full of insight and compassion for the people he met. He was entirely by himself, getting on for eight years wandering around the islands of East Melanesia, western New Guinea and Borneo. He writes brilliantly and says marvelous things."

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
1937 | Animation, Classics, Family
This is the first ever feature-length animated film; one that spawned an entire genre of movies, an Academy Award category, and pioneered a plethora of filmmaking tools and techniques, & gorgeous art. (0 more)
The voice acting/singing is very dated and can be grating at times, but take it with a heap of salt considering when it was made. There are a few technical mistakes as well, but few and far between. (0 more)
A must-see piece of cinematic history.

2018 | Alternative, Rock
Saw these live as a support act, to be honest, they have some really catchy stuff. In the category of Feminist indie-punk bands, they get a 10 out of 10 from me, but when you start comparing them to similar bands like Goat Girl or possibly even someone like Ida Maria, they really start to fall in the list.

I wouldn't not recommend them by far, but they are trying a little bit too hard for my tastes.

Goosebumps
If you are looking to read something that will cause goosebumps then this is the one for you as every single story within this collection will leave you chilled to the bone. I loved all the tales but Druid's Wood, Thin Ice, and The Talking Dead were by far my most favorite ones. I highly recommend you read this in the dark while listening to the sounds of thunderstorms to give you the perfect reading experience!!

Great story
As with a lot of marvel late, it is very long and a bit too much filler. (0 more)
An epic saga nears an end.
This was almost the perfect way to start the end of the epic saga that the marvel cinematic universe has been thus far. A little too much fill and a couple of plot holes but overall this was an amazing film and well worth the wait.

Good Gangster Film
Far from being in the same league as Goodfellas, Casino. However this is an enjoyable British film showing the rise and fall of an East London gangster getting involved in the drug scene in Spain. Set in the 80's with the typical fashion of the time but with a great soundtrack to boot. Quite violent, brutal and with a lot of swearing as well but an interesting story all the same.
