ArecRain (8 KP) rated In Sleeping Beauty's Bed: Erotic Fairy Tales in Books
Jan 18, 2018
As far as erotica novels go, this novel is one of the worst that I have ever read. Not only was it vague in any erotic descriptions the author decided to give use, but the actually erotica content was almost absent. It was like reading a fairy tale written for adults with all the gore and vulgarity instead the sunshine and smiles, although the happy endings were present.
When I want erotica, I want erotica. If I wanted some fairy tales told for adults instead children, I would read the Grimm's Fairy Tales.

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated The Wild Ways (Gale Women, #2) in Books

I have yet to read anything by Huff that wasn't enjoyable, but Wild Ways was better than most. The Enchantment Emporium was decent, but it was really just a warm-up for this volume as far as I'm concerned. In fact, the way music and magic are entwined here put me in mind of some of de Lint's work. I look forward to reading more in this series, although part of me is a bit worried that it will be difficult to match the charm of this book again.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2304 KP) rated The Villain Virus (NERDS, #4) in Books

Flinch takes center stage in this fourth book in a middle grade series. Part James Bond spoof part adventure, it's another fun ride as everyone on earth starts trying to take it over. And the team survive a new school and figure out why everyone is turning evil and how to stop it? I've loved all of these books so far and can't wait for next year's entry already.

The best part of the book is the Sommelier
Mira Grant's "The Wine in Dreams" is about a sommelier who learns the lengths to which a person will go for a product representing a fantasy. This is by far and away the best story in the book. it's 4 short stories that interweave in this specific city in the star wars universe, which is essentially Las Vegas turned up to 11. If you love the star wars universe, it'll tickle that fancy, if you're not the stories are still interesting. I enjoyed it.

By far and away Dan Brown's best work (3 more)
The Puzzles
the emotional ride
the subjects and locations
This is a great thriller
I just really liked this book, I've read it too long ago to go into many details. But I intend to revisit it someday, and that means something as i usually don't revisit books. I like to consume and move forward, knowing that the next great story is waiting for me to reveal it.kind of like this book does with each puzzle, on to the next one.

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated Alien Infection in Books
Mar 1, 2018
I kept wanting to look at the author's name again, to be sure I wasn't actually reading an old Heinlein novel updated with some 21st century concepts like throwaway cell phones. That's not a bad thing, depending on how far along Mr. Bain is in his own career, I suppose. I'm not really familiar with him, as I believe this is the first of his novels that I've read. In any case, it was a fun read, if a wee bit predictable to those of us who have read the master's works.

Never fails
Having been a fan of the tv show as long as I can remember, I have read this, comprising Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers and Better Than Life, dozens and dozens of times - and can quote great chunks.
Lister is slobbier than ever.
Rimmer is even more of an irritating worm.
The universe, time, death and reality are all their playthings - and I can only begin to imagine what Lister’s isolation on those peculiar worlds would be like.

Best App to Track Reading & Personal Library Management
This is by far one of my favorite apps on my phone. I love using the app to keep track of books that I have read and books that I own. I also love the integration that the app has with my Kindle. It makes it easy for me to keep track of the books I have read and also to find new books that I am interested in. If you are a reader, you need to be on Goodreads.

Good story about fate
A decent little romantic film, although labeled a Rom-com most of the time it feels more of a drama with a lot of light hearted moments than truly laugh out loud scenes. It did remind me of Serendipity quite a bit, would have to admit that is by far the better film. One of the best of the genre in my opinion.
Still this has a good cast and it was an enjoyable to watch, without being the typical hollywood Rom-com most of the time. Definitely worth checking out.
