A good film, although classed as a comedy there are not many laugh out moments. One more for the girls I guess or if you are really into fashion. An enjoyable film but it could have done with a better ending I thought.

"Agnès Varda’s New Wave masterpiece about a famous singer/fashion model who abandons her blond wig and rediscovers her identity on the streets of Paris is jam-packed with vivid detail, an expressive graphic style, and an eye for urban chaos, and is at least as engaging and inventive as Breathless and The 400 Blows. While waiting for this film to enter its rightful place in the canon of great movies, buy it now and enjoy its distinctly up-to-date sensibility. More than forty years after it was made, Cléo from 5 to 7 is a perfect movie for our times, digging beneath the surface of fashion and celebrity culture."

While I personally despise the label, I'm afraid that this book fits into the "chick-lit" category perfectly. Seriously, a book about a young woman's struggles with her nasty female boss who takes away her whole personal life in the name of fashion could hardly be something you'd see your macho male plumber reading, now could it? So yes, it's 100% pure, unadulterated "chick-lit", and anyone not looking for some fluffy, light reading material may close this review right now - I doubt you'll be interested in reading more. You can read my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/07/26/a-story-of-sins-and-fashion/

This one stars Deena whose personality seems to consist of having a terrible best friend. Seriously, Jade is HORRIBLE.
The prank calling turns from mocking fashion to bomb threats because Chuck is terrible, too!
They do ridiculous, nonsensical things to further the plot and Deena is just so irritating!

"In true Erik Larson fashion, this book zeroes in on a subject and brings it vividly to life—in this case, Winston Churchill. Larson enthralls the reader as only a master storyteller can. Whether you know much about Churchill or not, you’ll find yourself saying, Tell me more."

A real marmite film
A very strange film that seems to have a dig at the fashion and beauty industry... then goes all weird and trippy?! Similar in oddness to @Mulholland Drive (2001)
to give you an idea.

BBC Shakespearian comedy, with David Mitchell in the lead role, that basically centres around Shakespeare himself and that - in true sitcom fashion - is centred around where he got the ideas for his plays from.

Some episodes better than others.

Some jokes land; others not so much.

Great for creativity.
This is a brilliant app for helping with creativity. I use it for ideas to use with the Girlguiding unit I volunteer with. Also great for sewing and knitting ideas, recipes, fashion, history knowledge and so much more.

"Exactly what movies are meant to generate: fantasy, magic, beauty, and unapologetic escapism. The bizarre source material, stories from The Arabian Nights, gives costume designers Oliver Messel, John Armstrong, and Marcel Vertès license to unleash their prodigious imaginations. I collect the work of Vertès, who was also a prolific fashion illustrator."
