"Gary Oldman must rank as one of or—in my opinion—the most talented actor of his generation. Here, as per normal, he is intoxicating, as Sid Vicious, the “bass player” for the Sex Pistols. England in the ’80s. Drugs. Music. Fashion and baked beans. What’s not to love? Blink and you will miss Shane MacGowan from the Pogues, and Courtney Love."

"I was 16 when I read this and it sure had a hold on me. Schneebaum hitch-hiked from New York to Peru then walked stone naked into the jungle. I’d always wanted to throw everything away and vanish; he did it in the most gonzo, hallucinatory fashion. I adored him for it and still do. A book that challenged and changed me."

If you're looking for a romp through New York's high-powered world of culinary excellence, with some sidelines into the sphere of high fashion, combined with intrigue and topped with some steam from both inside and out of the kitchen, this is the book for you. Pin It, To Win IT
This is one of my daily addictions. You will find me pinning items, looking for fashion for the ever changing seasons, buying items, checking out d.i.y. home creations that I could never possibly complete. I absolutely love it. Books, music, clothes, movies, television shows, its all there to be pinned at the touch of your fingers. I can't get enough.

This was beautifully written by Ruth Kluger. Her story is not one that is widely liked because she does not want the reader to be sentimental or feel sorry for her. She wants the reader to understand what happened in a logical fashion. I loved this book.

I luckily got to meet Ruth Kluger at a book signing at my school. She is a very interesting woman.

F*** Elves
My absolute favorite of the Witches series. Seriously, there is so much awesome in this book, you have to do yourself a favor and read. Pratchett's take on faeries and elves echoes back to the respect once given to them that kept people from enchanted places. Of course, in true STP fashion, there's also quite a bit of fun along the way.

Quite fun but badly dated
Seeing Joanna Lumley kicking ass as Purdey was great but Gareth Hunt as Mike Gambit was supposed to offer some eye candy for the ladies didn't really suit. He was better in those coffee adverts from the late 80s lol.
Still a bit tongue in cheek like the originals but didn't quite have the same magic

"As one of the most powerful black voices in the fashion industry—an industry rife with racism—I found André’s journey on how he overcame all of the prejudices in a system designed to exclude him, so inspiring. I was captivated by his singular voice and left in awe of his tenacity. I consider it an honor to call him a colleague and friend."

"I bought this film on a whim, mostly thanks to its eye-catching cover and my love of Yukio Mishima’s books. Turns out to be a classic, a real grade-A stubborn-man-on-a-mission tale told in a truly ambitious fashion. (Spoiler alert) the seppuku scene at the end is really poetic and tasteful, and Philip Glass is such a perfect match stylistically.'
