Jan 30, 2018
I'm up in the air about this. It was cute and interesting. But parts bored me and it didn't move fast enough to hold my attention for long. I did enjoy the characters and the storyline. I enjoyed the whole Disney thing and the plot. u just wish it had moved a little faster. But overall. enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this story as well as the first. I love mermaids and loved seeing the princess in her own story. The beginning again was a little slow but picked up fast. The characters...there are a lot so sometimes I had to remember who was who.. lol Overall very good plot and story. I really enjoyed it.

Trish (4 KP) rated Starters (Starters, #1) in Books
Feb 8, 2018
Read this in one day! I loved the premise of this novel and the mystery. It is science fiction but based somewhere close to reality. The characters don't fly around in spaceships or anything like that. This was a fast read and really grabbed my attention. I'm looking forward to the sequel coming out in December!

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Pushing On (The EMP #3) in Books
Feb 4, 2018
Westfield continues the journey of Max, Mandy, Chad, Georgia, and the kids. They encounter people who aren't the nicest and keep fighting to survive. Meanwhile Max's brother John and Cynthia learn more about themselves and trust both good and bad. It was a fast paced book and the ending left me hanging so the next one is in queue.

Jamila (1 KP) rated Big Little Lies in Books
May 31, 2018 (Updated May 31, 2018)
Juicy Fun
This is one of the few times I'll say that the adaptation (HBO show) is better than the book. The characters aren't nearly as well fleshed-out in the book, and it's a bit uneven. Fans of the show will probably enjoy it though.

Betsy Ponce (12 KP) rated Exploding Buddha in Books

What a great read! This was a fun action packed page turner. Gideon Jones is such an engaging charismatic character I found myself drawn into his world and on the edge of my seat as he dealt with the perils of ninja assassins and dark magic. Do yourself a favor and get this book!

SinisterSwthrt (264 KP) rated The Notebook (The Notebook, #1) in Books

Easy read (1 more)
Fast paced
This book was always on my TBR pile and I finally got around to it and was not disappointed. It was written fairly well, was a bit confusing on some of the character wording towards the end of the book. Definitely more impressive than the movie.
4 Stars ____
I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
This was a fast paced and very thought-provoking read. It was believable, dark, intense and mirrors numerous true life events. I highly recommend this book to those that are interested in family dramas that are gripping and well constructed.
