A great story that left me wanting more!
WAYWARD STRIPPER is a short novella about a trans man on the run from his abusive ex, who lands a trial run at an Omega (Ladies) Club. The Head Dancer, Tristan, is on hand to help in any way and the sparks are instantaneous.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but I wanted so much more! I would love for this to be a full-length novel, so I can get all the background information I want - the ex-relationship, Jake's escape, and more between Jake and Tristan. As a novella, it is fast-paced, but I would have loved more of the nitty-gritty that gives the story some depth. For me, it was a little too fast, with chunks either missed out or skipped over.
A great story that left me wanting! I would still recommend it though!

Just the book I needed
I read most of this in a single sitting, I couldn’t put it down, nor did I want to. The story takes place over a weekend at a convention, so it is fairly fast paced. There are two alternating perspectives, Taylor and Charlie, both were wonderfully written. I really related to them, especially Taylor who is an introvert, who struggles with anxiety, also she has autism. A lot of what she said really spoke to me, this book is just really well written and I fully recommend it.

Fast paced thriller
Dwayne Johnson is released from prison for his part in a bank robbery and immediately goes on a mission to track down and kill his brother's murderers. However, someone is also trying to track and kill him too.
What follows is a series of encounters between Johnson and his targets and Johnson and his would-be killer with some cops trying to keep up with it all. It moves along at pace and keeps your interest right up until the twist at the end which I did not see coming.

A quirky, poor girl gets assigned to take care of a grumpy, rich quadriplegic. It is a story that has been done MANY times before, except this story includes the author's "CURLED-UP-IN-THE-FLOOR-SOBBING-HYSTERICALLY" spin on the tale.
The story was easy to follow, fast-paced, and interesting. The book was written in first person. However, the author included 4 separate spaced-out chapters from other characters' viewpoints. This definitely made the book more interesting! I listened to the audiobook version, and it was wonderful.

Another outstanding entry in the Brig-verse. When you tell me zombies are feature players, I inwardly groan a little as it's not a genre that typically fits the Doctor Who (or Lethbridge-Stewart) mold, and instead feels like a Walking Dead fan trying to insert his fan fic into someone else's sandbox. Not so here, as there's a certain logic and working science to the proceedings that makes all misgivings go away. The story is fast-paced and nicely told. I must confess to being a huge Simon Kernick fan and his character, Tina Boyd, has to be one of my all time favourites so I was thrilled to receive a copy of this eBook from Netgalley and the publisher, Randomhouse UK Cornerstone, in return for an unbiased review and I wasn't disappointed. From the start right up to the finish, this was fast-paced, non-stop action which had me hooked from page 1.

This is only my 2nd Baldacci book and I must say I am hooked! This one has sisters as its main characters. Beth Perrywho happens to be D.C.'s cheif of police and her sister Mace who is a former cop, but just got out of prison. The characters are well developed and interesting without being over the top...a Baldacci hallmark. The plot was fast paced and unpredictable. The story was wrapped up nicely, but still leaves you wanting more, but in a good way.
Ireally look forward to delving further into Baldacci's works.

Well what an unexpected book with a great ending! Abuse is a very touchy subject to write about fiction or not & Maggie did a great job delving into the mind of someone who had been abused as a child. It was a fast paced read that was just the right amount of twisted while still being quite believable at the same time. Mavy is a fascinating character...she seems so fragile & wears that mask well. But deep down inside she's a time bomb hiding behind a flour covered apron.
