Great originals! (0 more)
Netflix is, of course, a dominant force in entertainment. The original series and movies are awesome. It's great to be able to binge my favorite shows like Friends, and they are uploading shows as soon as they end on air quicker and quicker. The only real downfall is that they don't have agreements with several networks still, so a lot of shows that I love aren't available. I would love to completely cancel cable and every other subscription I have, but I can't until things like Modern Family and Food Network's best can be seen on Netflix.

Remake bah!
I know there is a new version of this film coming out soon and I'm not happy about it. The same way I wasn't happy about The Beguiled remake (which was horrible), some movies are better untouched.

This might be my favorite Steve McQueen film or at least his best acting performance (maybe The Sand Pebbles?) Everyone should watch this prison film and also the triumph of the human spirit.

Dustin Hoffman is also great as well as the great filming locations. They augment the story and make it more believable.

Highly recommended.

This is probably one of my all-time favorite Stephen King books. It has a focus on history without feeling like a documentary. The characters feel very "real" and it's easy to become attached to what is happening in their lives. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys playing games of "what-if" when it comes to major events in history. Questioning how things could have gone differently is a fun way to look back through the lives of these characters.

This is honestly one of my favorite things ever created. I found it one day while looking a way to get free books and have loved it ever since. I love being able to keep track of what I've read and what I want to read. I love being able to find new authors based on my current favorites. I used this website and app regularly and always recommend it to friends and patrons at my job. I only a few minor things I wish they would approve, but even with those it's my number 1 app/website.

Riverdale - Season 1

I lasted four episodes of this soapy, teenage melodrama that merely utilize the name of Archie Comics characters. I've been reading Archie Comics since I was a kid (and still do), and this is seriously just teenage porn. As soon as 'Ms Grundy' was sleeping with Archie, I was out. I'm particularly insulted that they essentially ruined Betty, my favorite character. From what I gathered, they've hooked her up with Jughead? JUGHEAD?
I get it, I'm not the intended audience, but I feel like there needs to be a disclaimer that they just used character names and places. So much wasted potential.

The final in a wonderfully written trilogy this story brings together some of my favorite things. Reliance on someone that you barely know and fighting for what you believe in while conquering yourself. While I did get a tad bored through some of it most of the book follows the same format and writing style as the first two. This makes it an easy read that can be done all in one sitting. You will find yourself swept into the world and enjoying the main characters while rooting for them.
Perfect for fans of the Chronicles of Narnia.

Oof. I get the draw. Cram a ton of your favorite 80's trivia into a futuristic plot and call it a day. And it is great fun knowing the things the characters praise as obscure puzzles and information. But there are problems. 1) Without the nostalgia of vomiting 80's references, there's little to glean from the story itself. 2) The extremely problematic relationship that the hero pursues that gives a platform for incel's everywhere. 3) An action oriented plot that kind of just sputters out. Rough finish. Great story if you see toxic online behavior as "misunderstood," though.

Crash Bandicoot was one of my favorite games to play on the original PS, so it was on my list to get as soon as I got a PS4.
The game is definitely as fun and goofy as I remember. Though, I can't remember how to beat some of the random obstacles. It seems more difficult, but I don't spend that much time playing video games anymore in general, so I think I may just be out of practice. The enhanced graphics also look amazing.
If you liked playing Crash on the original PS, this is definitely a must-have.

This book was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I do not know what I was expecting going in, but this book was blew any and all expectations out of the water. For me, it has everything that makes an books great: historical BDSM erotica. It is so hard to find good historical erotica (I would know since it is my favorite sub-genre) especially with non-disappointing BDSM. If you are a fan of good historical BDSM with a good storyline and interesting characters, this is definitely a novel you do not want to pass up!

I was hoping for more out of this book. It was a bit shocking at times and I had to keep reading to find out what happened, but when it was over....I wasn't impressed.

It was a bit spiritual and historical but a bit far fetched. I really wanted it to be more descriptive and delve a bit more into the characters and their relationships. I got confused sometimes as to who was who in the town and how they were related.

It was interesting and kept my interest til the end but wasn't my favorite book. Just Ok I'd say.
