One of my favorite book series
This book series is so under-rated! It's got a great story line and is an all around great young adult read. Just a little background, a girl gets moved from Illinois to Georgia because her dad got a better job. On top of not knowing many people, weird things start happening to her she then gets help from a lady in town to use her new gift. When she teams up with a few kids from school they become a great team in helping the lost souls in her historic new town.

When Garth Carson finds a squirrel puppet from a favorite childhood show, he thinks he's found a nostalgic goldmine. Instead, he soon finds a body and a conspiracy that seems too hard to believe. In fact, that was one problem I had with the book, I just couldn't believe it. The characters were also too thin. And the "comic" part of the comic caper? Not really that funny. I did find the climax over the top yet fun, however.

This is one Medieval story that I wasn't a big fan of. The wording was confusing along with the story line itself. It was one of the more religious texts that I have had to read for my Medieval Literature class, and since I'm not the biggest fan of that kind of story, it obviously wasn't my favorite. This is possibly the same poet as the "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" poet, but I enjoyed that one more.

I recommend this to people who like Medieval Literature that has heavy ties to Christianity and convoluted plots.

Christina Henry really did create a truly twisted version of Wonderland in Alice and I really loved her take on the characters I've enjoyed since I was just a small child they were dark and crazy and I only wish she would have explored each character a little more.

My favorite character by far was het take in The Caterpillar I would love to read a book just in him his whole part was just so dark and twisted.

The plot while familiar had a lot of great twists though some of it got a bit repetitive at times for me.

IMHO, this is one of the best modern war movies that's been made in the past few years. It's gritty, and the battle scenes are intense. Does Jon Bernthal really have to be a d-bag in everything? At least it worked in this film. I also always like seeing Shia LaBeouf in films, though he doesn't do many anymore. Michael Pena did a great job too, but he's one of my favorite actors. Logan Lerman did great portraying his character, and you really felt the terror he must have felt. Brad Pitt was basically playing LT Aldo Raine again, but it worked.

I had downloaded these stories from Armstrong's web site, but never got around to reading them (I don't do much reading for pleasure on a screen). I'm sorry that I delayed doing so! Don't make the mistake of thinking of these pieces as second-rate or "throwaway" just because they were free at first. They are a delight, and do a lot to fill out Clay and Jeremy's backgrounds and motivations. The final story, which is completely new, is also marvelous. Jeremy has always been one of my favorite characters, and I really appreciate seeing him as the focal point of a story.

SO boring! Underdeveloped characters. (0 more)
What happened, Anna???
Quite possibly one of the most boring and uneventful books I will reach all year, unfortunately, as I am usually a pretty big fan of Quindlen. Every Last One is one of my all-time favorite books. Very forgettable, under-developed characters. How am I supposed to get lost in a story if I am not able to invest in the characters and don't care what happens to them? If you are going to choose a newer title by Quindlen, Miller's Valley is the better choice, or go for a classic!

Erika (17789 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of Tekken 6 in Video Games

The first game I always purchase when I have a Playstation, is Tekken. I played the crap out of Tekken 2 on the PS when I was a kid. So, when I purchased a PS3, Tekken 6 was the first game I purchased and played. Tekken is an excellent fighting game with a large variety of characters. Nina is probably my favorite, and always has been.
The only gripe I have is the skimpy clothing on the females, like legit a chick wouldn't fight in some bikini thing. But, that's a gripe I have with all female video game characters.

What can I say but this is yet another win for Melissa Pearl?!? She is honestly one of my favorite authors, and I have yet to read of book of hers where a) it didn't warrant far more than 5 stars, and b) I didn't contemplate forgoing work/sleep/etc to keep reading! Now, we have a tag-team authorship in the works, and I have to say it's been great so far!

Kudos to a bright start to what will definitely be another wonderful series, and I'm already anxiously awaiting these girls' next adventure. =D

5 stars (of course)

Don't judge a book by it's cover is something I've been told since I was little. It's something I still do and this story showed me how that bleeds into judging people and why first impressions are important we most certainly should never judge a person based on our assumptions. I enjoyed reading this book the story was slightly frustrating in parts but I simply think the author was just trying to emphasize the conflict so that the light of why we shouldn't judge would be brighter. I also loved the poetry along the way one of my favorite parts of the chapters.
