Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Seeker (Keeper Duology #2) in Books
Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This but book was a lot of fun and a breeze to read.
I hadn't read the first one and it jumps straight into the action but there's some pretty decent exposition to help along.
I really liked the fact that it was told from three points of view.
I think Ty's story was my favorite but I adored Maggie's comic book love.
And hooray for strong friendships between women!

This book has been on my to-read list for some time both because it is a classic and because it is a favorite of my dads and older brothers. I absolutely loved this book. It was beautifully written and the tone was unique. I greatly enjoyed going on the complicated emotional journey of Montag. The world that Bradbury created was imaginative while also feeling like a possibility for a dystopian future. I loved this book and honestly want to read it again because I feel like each read through would give you more.
EmersonRose (320 KP) rated Daja's Book (Circle of Magic, #3) in Books

This continuation of Tamora Pierce’s Circle of Magic series careers with it the same magical world and the same characters that she made me love in the first book. I enjoy that in each book not only do the title characters get more backstory and more fleshed out but the entire cast of characters receive more depth. My favorite part of this book is the connection that has been forming between the characters. The strength of their bond carries the story, and I love the way in which their friendship manifests.

I chose to read this book because it's by my favorite author. I ended up loving it and it's now one of my favorite series. If you loved her book Fallen you will love this one as well. The book begins slowly as Fallen does but if you keep reading you will not regret it.

Book Divas (227 KP) rated High School for the Recently Departed (Ascenders #1) in Books
Dec 12, 2017 (Updated Dec 12, 2017)
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review when I signed up to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are unbiased and my own.
I had the hardest time putting this book down and it quickly became a favorite book. This book about the after life is a new and creative take on the subject and the author's world building skill set were fantastic. The plot is well written and the characters were strong, pleasant and often humorous. The author quickly pulls you in with her twists and turns and I quckly devoured this book and I can't wait to read the second book. This author is the one to keep an eye out for as I know she will continue to pull her readers in!

Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated Loved by the Pack (The Wolfpack Trilogy, #3) in Books
Jul 12, 2018
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I have to say, this final book of the Wolfpack Trilogy really wasn't my style. I enjoyed the story and the plot but I just got disgusted with the sex scenes. Honestly, whenever the sex scenes started my face would just get a permanent "ew" look. <spoiler> Beastiality, knotting, and almost wolf rape etc... </spoiler>
I really did like the premise of the book. The plot was semi unique and there were some things in the book that I wasn't able to predict which was refreshing.
Ultimately, the series was interesting but definitely not my favorite.

This well written story kept my interest from beginning to end and the characters are all unique and jump right out of the pages. Lisa is my favorite character and little by little she realizes that things are often not as they seem. I look forward to reading the second book in this series!!
