Merissa (13739 KP) rated The Sweetheart Quest (Sweetheart Escapes) in Books

This is a quick read, with the pacing the same. It all happens VERY fast. The whole time of Rhodes and Trevor being together (apart from the epilogue) takes place over two weeks. The first weekend is when they meet, followed by two weeks of being grumpy whilst apart. Saying that, I did enjoy it.
I could understand where both Trevor and Rhodes were coming from, with their fears and concerns about the future, but I would have liked to have seen more about how they would work together to resolve said issues.
All in all, a sweet and fast romance that I recommend.

I’m a fan of the author, and the premise sounded intriguing, so I jumped in. I was hooked early, and I enjoyed watching the story unfold. I do feel like it has too many storylines, so a few things were rushed. Still, I was satisfied when I set down the book. This is almost a coming-of-age story wrapped in a mystery, so that means lots of growth for Olivia, which I enjoyed since I liked her from the beginning. The rest of the cast, both friend and potential foe, were fun to spend time with. This is intended as a standalone, and you’ll be glad you picked it up when you turn the final page.

Lover Eternal ( Black Dagger Brotherhood 2)
By J.R. Ward
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Within the brotherhood, Rhage is the vampire with the strongest appetite. He's the best fighter, the quickest to act on his impulses, and the most voracious lover-for inside him burns a ferocious curse cast by the Scribe Virgin.
Possessed by this dark side, Rhage fears the times when his inner dragon is unleashed, making him a danger to everyone around him. When Mary Luce is unwittingly thrown into the vampire world, she must rely on Rhage's protection. Knowing that Mary feels the same intense animal attraction, Rhage must make her his alone...
A reread for me as I really want to move forward with this series. Rhage he is amazing and I honestly welled up a few times with him and Mary she is so beautiful. This series is a hit and miss with me takes me a while to get into the book but once I’m locked in I’m hooked.
