Merissa (12960 KP) rated Brittle Bonds (Guadel Chronicles #3) in Books
Apr 7, 2023 (Updated Apr 10, 2023)
Va'del and Jain find themselves in a world unknown to them and have to learn how to fit in quickly as their survival depends on it.
The layers upon layers of this story make it at once intricate, rich and detailed whilst still being an easy read. This story will draw you into it and take you along for the ride. Highly recommended for all Fantasy fans. Brittle Bonds reaches a natural conclusion that will still leave you wanting more. Luckily for me, I have Shattered Ties ready to go (review to follow).

Merissa (12960 KP) rated Dragon Soul (Dragon Clan #3) in Books

In Dragon Soul, you mainly get Valla and Vadin, but then you do get parts of Hathos and Oliana too. I loved how this was written, at the slowly developing relationship between the two pairs, even in dire circumstances. Of them all, Vadin has the most difficult journey, but with Valla by his side, he can conquer anything - even his own fears.
Very well written, smooth and well-paced, this is the perfect ending to the Dragon Clan Trilogy. I have been lucky enough to read all three and from my personal experience, can definitely recommend all three.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
When Alex married Lisa, she gave his life meaning. He no longer felt alone in the world – beneath his tough exterior she saw someone she could love. And soon, Alex, Lisa and their young son Connor made up a happy little universe.
But then Lisa dies unexpectedly, and their perfect world is destroyed. Alex is shattered by the loss, and overwhelmed by the difficulties of being a single father to a six-year-old. How can he and Connor carry on without Lisa guiding their way?
Just as Alex fears the darkness might overwhelm him, he discovers that his wife had a secret: there was a side to Lisa that he never knew. It seems that, even after she’s gone, Lisa is lighting the way for Alex… but is he brave enough to take it?
This was good I did enjoy it I wouldn’t have normally picked it up I had it in a subscription box but I’m glad I did. The story is so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. You see how all these lives are affected because of one accident. Really nice read.
