This is the second book in the Reverians series and continues after a three-month break. Those three months aren't lost in the aether though, we learn how Em and Rogue have lived together and what they have achieved during that time. Em goes back to Austin Valley though, and that is to try and save Rogue. His headaches are becoming more debilitating and she fears for him.

WOW! This book is jam-packed full of emotion, so consider yourself warned already. We find out more about Vider's plans and just how atrocious that man is. If you're looking for a 'big bad' with redeeming qualities, you've got the wrong series. This man is evil, through and through. We also get a glimpse of how it began when Rogue's mom plays an important role in bringing things to a head.

The emotional pain keeps on coming for Em, with hits coming from every direction, including her father and sister. It might be wrong, but I was smiling at a certain part involving them, even knowing that Em would be guilt-ridden because of it!

This is so incredibly well-written, from the first word to the last. *Fair warning* - I said it was emotional, the ending tore out my heart, ripped it into tiny pieces and then stomped all over it! In other words, you 'might' need to have a Kleenex handy!!!

Absolutely and definitely recommended. I definitely need the third book in this series, Warriors. I'm simply not prepared for my Reverian adventure to end.

In the second book of Indigo Dreams, we are with Indigo as she goes to school in New York. Not only does she have to contend with a roommate that she has nothing in common with, but also strict teachers, self-doubt and an inner core that needs strengthening.

Indigo's character changes throughout this book, as she learns more about herself and sees what she has allowed herself to become. Be warned, there are parts when I didn't like Indigo at all, and I was glad that she and Jesse weren't together as I didn't want him to see her like that! However, through a series of life lessons and help/advice given, Indigo is able to turn that around and become the person she wants to be, rather than one driven by her own fears. And yes, Jesse has a helping hand in this way too.

Grier Cooper in no way glamorises the hard work that goes into being a dancer. The descriptions are raw and real, managing to show the hard work and dedication that is needed. Exceedingly well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, this was a thoroughly enjoyable second book. I am hoping for more from Indigo, as I really don't want her dreams to end. And, of course, if Jesse could feature some more, I would be very happy. 😉

For anyone with an interest in Young Adult Contemporary Dance stories, then I can highly recommend this book and this series, although I would recommend you read Wish first to get Indigo's full story.

I'll give this marriage one more try, Beth Kemp thinks. She is a successful crime writer in New York City, who regrets that tension has crept into her relationship with her husband, Brad. He too is a writer who, after early success, finds his career fading.

Brad urges that a move to the country would make them happy again - and safe, especially Beth, to avoid the city's stress that triggers her severe asthma attacks. Beth wavers, until her close friend is murdered and the friend's husband has a perfect alibi. She finally accepts that the city with its surging crime has become too hard for her.

The Kemps move to beautiful Sheffield, Connecticut, so perfect it seems too good to be true. It is. When one new friend cries in fear about her husband, and another has a bruise under her eye, Brad tells Beth that she's overimagining. But when she hears of another wife's unsolved murder and yet another friend dies mysteriously, Beth suspects the husbands of covering for each other. Brad tells her she's getting crazy, paranoid.

Then Beth stumbles onto the most devastating shock of all, one she never imagined...

This was a decent read of not a little to predictable. Well written and a good story.
I do like this writers style but like I said it was very predictable.
