Chrissie-ann (78 KP) rated Prison Break - Season 5 in TV

A revival sent straight to the grave
I can't say that I didn't enjoy watching this season, but I felt they had to have a seriously good story for bringing Michael back to life. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations and I don't feel the sorry was strong enough to support Micheals return. The plot seemed forced in some places and didn't have the intelligence behind it as it did in the first season. I enjoyed watching it but so much more could have been done.

So, I picked this book up for book club. I was told that it was a "feel good" book that was short and sweet. That is definitely not how I would describe this. "Rules for a Knight" is a small book of fables. One of the fables is almost word for word (might actually be an infringement on copyright) of the two wolves parable.
I'm not sure what I was expecting (possibly a true plot) but the novella was okay. The fables were okay, nothing more, nothing less.

Millyking (2 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Assassin's Creed: Origins in Video Games

Huge map (2 more)
Beautiful designs
Good characters
Better than my expectations
Love this game very beautiful and personally one of my favourite assassins creed games for that reason. Controls are very easy and has a nice menu layout for upgrading or changing weapons/armour ect. Also enjoying the story very much only negative is i feel some of the missions can get a little repetitive as they are the same mission just with a different setting so would have been nice to see more variation!

So so version
Whilst i enjoyed the first Mamma Mia filn a great deal. This film seem to be discombobled, epsically between Donna life and Sophie life today. The transition between the two seem to in my option lack something. Where the first film is a feel good okay the actor can sing but not to a incredible degree bringing in cher who is a power house of a voice just highlighted that half the others aren't the greatest of singers.

Great little tool!
We still need to work out exactly how much this little thing can do but so far so good. We have it set up to play songs from Spotify and mainly use it for music. It has come in very handy for cinema listings, weather, and as some entertainment when we just feel like asking silly questions. I imagine it will be invaluable once we start using it to it’s full potential.

Sigh. I'm now grieving the loss of dear friends, left with only memories. No more new adventures to look forward too. I devoured this trilogy and now I wish I'd paced myself because they're all finished and I'm left empty. As much as I love a good book, a book that sucks me in and makes me feel so much a part of the magic, I hate that last page where I know it's goodbye. Thank you, Cynthia Hand, for a wonderful trilogy that I know I will relive over and over.

A not too bad direct to DVD sequel. You don't need to have seen the first as it doesn't carry on any of that storyline, apart from the department store. As with most straight to DVD horror sequels you can expect more blood, gore, kills and nudity with a lesser known cast. The first half was ok, after that the story is way too simple and predictable. Slightly different feel to the atmospheric first. The gore effects are good though. Worth a rent if you liked the first.

Honestly, I wanted so much more from this one. I waited months for it to come to theaters, then rushed out to see it, only to feel a little meh afterwards. The story itself was good and kept me invested, but the horror just wasn't really there for me. I felt it relied too much on jump scares and the rest of what was supposed to be scary felt corny to me especially the ending. It was fine, but I probably won't be watching it again.
Melody Womack (32 KP) rated Dr Seuss' The Lorax (2012) in Movies

One of my all time favorites!
Contains spoilers, click to show
I have always loved the original Lorax book and movie (which was essentially just an animated reading of the book, ) so I was really excited when this version was released. I like Ted's story even though he was just a nameless boy in the books. The silliness of the story made it Catchy for children, which I feel helped get the message across. The animation was fun and the songs were super catchy. I've watched this movie at least 50 times.

Snore factor 8
Took my boy to this and was feeling family optimistic due to the previews. However the only good stuff was in the previews. The movie feels long and drawn out. I ate my delicious pop corn and gallon of Pepsi and promptly feel asleep like a 40 year old man baby. It did however hold my 8 year old sons attention, so there is that. Snore factor 8 came into play after the first quarter of the movie
