If you want a spooky book recommendation this is it. I got thriller, Halloween vibes from this book from the start. A disease has consumed most of the world leaving behind 3 types of people. The wicked, the true and the vexed. The wicked are something a little like zombies in the book their described like children with no impulse control and a want to kill. Astrid, a vexed young girl curious about the world & the only other young person in her community Henry is who we mostly follow throughout the story as they try to figure out what's beyond their world of Goldsport. I can say that I definitely didn't see the twist coming. It was a good book with a decent storyline maybe a bit lacking here and there mostly of how the disease came about. Quick read with a Walking Dead world full of wicked people and survival feel.

Do you Dream of Terra-Two wasn't what I expected. I enjoyed the read, though. It was like having a group of friends with very different personalities. Dealing with them during one big project. That being said, Terra-Two was an easy read. It won't frustrate you to the point of losing patience. It was easy to follow, and I loved not knowing which direction the author was going to go with the characters throughout the first half of the novel. She really did a good job with that, especially in the beginning. It's one of those stories that sucks you in, and you're maybe not even sure why after all is said and done. It felt natural. It didn't feel like I was spending time reading a book. Honestly, I'm not sure if I liked the ending, but at least it made sense. Perhaps I just wish more had been added.

The rock, yes he is pretty badass in this, but he captured the person playing him (no idea how to explain that part lol) well. (1 more)
It was actually quite funny.
Exceeding expectations
All the 4 avatar characters are awesome and well played. You get the sense of the person behind the avatar. I loved Jack Black, whom I usually cannot stand. Kevin Hart was his usual brilliantly funny self, the rock i mentioned in my good bits and Karen Gillan was fabulous!!!
I was sceptical, being a HUGE fan of Jumanji. After they get to the tree house with a little shout out to Alan Parish (which i absolutely loved, melted my heart, felt like something so natural, to give a nod to the comedy legend Robin Williams.) It definitely didn't feel like an insult to the orginal, more like a tribute in a way. I glimspe into where Alan spent all those years.
I was sceptical, being a HUGE fan of Jumanji. Atmospheric
Great setting
Can picture this as a good film
7 people in a remote house in Ireland, booked as a B&B through an online app. A family of 3, A man and his father and 2 young ladies, both on their own.
The weather sets in and strange things start happening, from food and drink going missing to sounds of a child crying and power cuts, but when a body is found, things can only get worse...
You learn a lot obout the history of the house, the back ground of the guests, with some of the story told in flashback form, and it is difficult to try and second guess what is going to happen.
The author manages to make the setting very atmospheric and you can almost feel the tension and pressure they are suffering through the narrative...
If you are a fan of psychological thrillers either as a book or film you should enjoy this.

What the hell did I just watch? Lars Von Trier at his most deliberately controversial and one truly fucked up film. An un-named couple work through the grief of losing their son and the guilt they feel over the circumstances of his death by going absolutely batshit crazy in the woods. Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg do the best they can and their performances are fine , it’s the material that’s the problem . The first hour is deathly dull and the final 40 minutes consists of graphic violence, bizarre imagery, a talking fox and a bit of genital mutilation thrown in for good measure.The film as a whole is a mess and just doesn’t work , it wants to be arty and clever but feels like it’s just trying to shock for the hell of it. I didn’t enjoy any of this movie and would die a happy man if I never saw this again.

This is not a love story, that is made very clear. It is a boy meets girl story. It is a boy loves girl story. And there it diverges. Some of the best moments of this film are not in the comedy or cuteness, which are abundant, but in the darker moments of sadness and self-discovery that are painful and harsh. Amidst an amazing soundtrack, and lead performances of utter charm, this is a story about growing up. Tom wants romance, he wants love, he wants happiness. What he finds is disappointment, disillusion and let-down on every level. So, why does it feel so good? Because the writing transcends the idea of every love story ever told on the silver screen and reminds you that, in the end, Autumn follows Summer and that is exactly how it should be. Love yourself and let the rest fall away with a wistful smile.

This week All the Bright Places was released on Netflix. Of course I watched it on the first night! I dont know if I built it up on my head, but I was a bit disappointed with the film in comparison to the book (but I suppose most book readers would say that about the following film). The acting was really good and I couldn't fault it. I feel like the feelings involved in both of the main characters issues weren't portrayed as well as they could have, I am very aware of how sensitive and difficult this could be. As always it is disappointing when small parts change: clocktower to bridge; tower to train carriage. I think if you were watching this not having read the book recently this would be a thoroughly enjoyable film. After all the cinegraphics were great. Some of the locations were beautiful. And the soundtrack was nice.

So i found this movie really intresting. I like the sci-fi future post apocalyptic setting, it was really intresting. Im not sure why alot of people didnt like this movie, cause it was really good.
The plot: Hundreds of years after a cataclysmic event destroyed civilization, mysterious young Hester Shaw emerges as the only one who can stop the city of London -- now a giant predator on wheels -- from devouring everything in its path. Feral and fiercely driven by the memory of her mother, Hester joins forces with Tom Natsworthy, an outcast from London, and Anna Fang, a dangerous outlaw with a bounty on her head.
Peter Jackson produced it and he also wrote the screenplay. It feels like a peter jackson film. I feel like he should of directed it.
Anyways its a really great post apocalyptic movie that has sci-fi, action, adventure and is in the future.
