This book was so really heart warming and touching. I believe this was because it happens to real people not just something that happens in books.
I saw the cover and read the blurb and knew this was one book I would definitely read. It was a feel good read. When reading it I could of been anywhere as I totally escaped into this book.
I couldn't put book the book down from the first page and I immediately felt for the main character, Harriet, which doesn't normally happen. I really felt for her especially as she took one knock after another but she took it in her stride. As she explained who she used to be I totally knew the type of person she was describing because we all know someone like this.
The character definitely changed throughout the book and became a better, nicer person and someone she wanted to be. She even explained in the book how she had changed and how she was changing back to her old self. And Kate Hewitt's writing really brought this to life. The main character didn't even need to tell the reader as we could see it.
It reminded me of similar stories I have read. All those books are what I call feel good books because they make the reader feel good and they are truly books you can lose yourself in. You can even imagine yourself sitting in the sun reading this book on holiday.
The story was so believable and could happen to read people.
I already have the other books in the series ready in my e-reader library to read and I can't wait.
I would 100% recommend this book and other by this author.

Online this book is described as 'a delicious laugh out loud comedy' and to be honest with you I do feel as though I have been slightly misled. Although it did make me laugh a few times I do feel as though the writing style was slightly unsophisticated for my taste.
One critisism I feel I have to mention is that the book was very short and was not advertised as so. I enjoy a long book in order to get to know the characters and really feel I can identify with them. However, this was unable to happen due to the length of the book.
Adding to this, I felt as though the book never really 'got going' and due to this it was hard to connect with the characters which I feel is necessary to really enjoy a book. However, there is a sequel which I do intend to read in order to see if the problem is rectified so keep a look out for that!
Overall, I feel as though this is a good book if you don't take it too seriously and simply want a funny addition to add to your collection. Although the writing style did lack some imagination it was an easy read and welcome after a busy night at work.

Gamma dogs?
OK I recently rewatched this Ang Lee directed almost forgotten 1st Hulk and although it has some truly stupid elements, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The villain was weak, but the look and feel of the film was right on.
I liked the way director Lee made you feel like you were watching a comic book with different boxes and frames the way a comic would have. The Hulk escape and tank/helicopter battle sequence is still very good. I have watched those scenes multiple times for home theatre demos and it never disappoints.
It's too bad Eric Bana did not continue as Hulk as I think he is underrated as an actor although Mark Ruffalo is good in the current version as well.

Ok, so this was a very cute book but that being said I don't feel that it would be something I personally will read to my 7 yr old. The age is 7 and up, but honestly I don't feel most of the subjects in this book need to be told to my 7 yr old. It is a very very cute story.. and it has given me some amazing idea's for homeschooling topics. The story itself is very good. I enjoyed the writing and the characters. I will also love teaching my kids about the different types of bugs, bats, and I am going to look into making a small organic garden with warrior bugs. I think that sounds really neat. Overall very good book and I recommend it to parents with maybe 10 and up kids. :)

This book of poems was beautifully written. There is a sadness that was able to be tapped into that made everything feel so much more real.
The first section, the one about the father, made my heart ache for this girl. Having a good relationship with my own father made me appreciate it that much more. I know that this kind of relationship exists, but it still hurts to confront it so head on.
I loved the female empowerment in the last section of this book. Women are allowed to have this strong connection with themselves. They do not have to have a man to feel good about themselves. I'm not sure why this section hit me so much, but it did. There is a sense of acceptance of one's own self. Of one's flaws and one's past. It's calming.

Having seen most of the original and seminal Seven Samurai I can attest that the remakes are very good movies and carry the essence of the original very well without surpassing it.
It maintains the feel of the original western well and allows just about enough of an introduction to each character to become invested, although for others it's all left to the imagination.
If you have seen the original then you already know where the story is going and move on to guessing who survives at the finale.
All in all a good movie from the consistent Antoine Fuqua and an enjoyable watch, although I feel as though this remake didn't have to be remade at all, but Hollywood seems to insist on it these days with its unwillingness to indulge and invest in originality.

A great little low budget, English comedy horror! This has a good B movie feel to it, featuring a young, largely unknown cast it has a good balance of laughs at the silliness of it all, followed by moments of danger. I also like these type of films when they are grounded in a real setting, this being an every day council estate in South London. Also unexpected for this type of film is how well shot it is, good use of light and cinematography is plain to see in most scenes. The creature design while simple is pretty good. The only downer for me was some of the over use, of so much slang, but again there are teenagers who do talk like that! An enjoyable small budget film that will put a big smile on your face!

Still a Strong Performance
The show is still going strong by season 4 as things begin to twist together in a whole new pattern. Although I didn't know how I'd feel about the Lucious memory loss bit, as I believe such a thing has become a cheap copout of so many different tv shows, it turned out to not be so bad. I won't say its my favorite thing they've done with the show but it also didn't mean the end of the shows good streak. This scene comes with all the drama and all the good music. Although I won't go so far as to say they've outdone themselves nor is it as good as the previous seasons but it still holds up on the good vibes and entertainment the show brings.

Could you imagine being the cause of a civil war? That is exactly what Phillip is facing. How will he protect his family and himself?
[Trent Reedy] did a good job creating a very possible situation and showing the consequences in [Divided We Fall]. Although the novel is fiction with a dystopian feel it is something that could actually happen, which makes it more compelling.
