Ashley Catron (66 KP) rated Rebecca's Lost Journals, Volume 1: The Seduction (Inside Out, #1.1) in Books
Mar 14, 2018
While the "Lost Journals" are not needed to read the "Inside Out" series, they definitely add more depth and knowledge to everything that is going on in the series. It expands on Rebecca's relationship with Mark, the world he lives in, and her feelings for him and this world that he wants her to be a part of. It is amazing and something I was not able to put down easily.

Leah (: (569 KP) rated The Love Potion (Werewolf High book 5) in Books
Sep 10, 2018
Yayy Lucy’s potential abilities are here and it’s so awesome now that she’s a werewolf and can be more apart of pack life.
I still just want more of Lucy and Tennyson I feel like there’s so much feelings and it’s just taking so long!!
I’m glad we are getting to see more of the other characters and hopefully they will continue to develop as the series progresses.

Holy sh&*t! Incredible book.. just can't get enough of this series! Read the book the day it came out and can't believe I have to wait for the next book after that cliffhanger!!?? Can't even say how much Jethro's admission of his "condition" affected me, as I have the same issues... It ripped my heart out hearing him explain his thoughts and feelings that Im all too familiar with...

MissCagey (2652 KP) rated The Duchess (2008) in Movies
Jan 23, 2019
Keira Knightley with her wooden acting failed to bring the Duchess to life for me. The Duchess appeared to be witty and flamboyant, with intense emotions however Knightley plays her somewhat dispassionately. This then failed to evoke any feelings for the Duchess. Her life seemed pretty awful in general and one should have felt sympathy and pity for her but because she's so blandly portrayed it just didn't rouse my emotions.

Momoverseas (2 KP) rated Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine in Books
Sep 24, 2019
Where do I start.. this lady was driving me nuts, she was so annoying I thought I might just give up and then I realized what's behind all this weird behavior and at the very end I cried because she is a true survivor, true heroin. I absolutely love this book, it made me have so many different feelings, this is something that everyone should read and digest. Truly amazing book!

Debbiereadsbook (1318 KP) rated Ben (Assassin's To Order #2) in Books
Apr 25, 2023
creeping up to 4.5 stars
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
There is an on-going plot line to these books, so they are best read in order. We met Ben in book one of this series, and I didn't much like him in that book.
Here though, we get all of Ben, Nico and Teilo and I really enjoyed it.
Nico and Teilo are left for dead when things go down in book 1. They are cage brothers, identical but not related. They were made and trained as assassins, much like the lost boys in book one. And the feelings they have for each other, they cannot define but those feelings were used against them by those training them.
Ben rescues them and gets them back to full health. They are confused by Ben and their feelings for him but once Ben explains about mates, and what Nico and Telio feel for each other is not wrong, they are ALL in.
I loved how innocent Nico and Teilo are, given what they have been doing and what happened to them. It's difficult reading, when they are telling Ben what happened to them.
It's quite a bit darker than book 1, Marvin, I thought, but also a bit steamier. Given there are three of them, hardly surprising but I loved how the physical relationship moved quickly, once Nico and Teilo understood their feelings. I wanted to wrap those cats up and snuggle on the sofa, I really did!
Again, I'm left with questions, but mostly these revolve around the plot and where it's going and what's gonna happen next!
I know WHO is next, cos this leads wonderfully into Duran's book,he's one of Marvin's lost boys.
I enjoyed this a bit more than Marvin, but I can't do 4.5 stars on some sites, so I'll leave it at 4, and hope that the next book pulls that extra bit out of me.
4.5 very good stars

Lily moves to America to study Music, while sharing an apartment with her friends.
Heading to the campus to organise her classes, Lily heads to the meet and greet area for new students to meet existing student. On the way, she hears music and stops captivated by the musician playing the guitar. After watching him for a while, she learns his name is Alfie and he is a big flirt, but she can’t help the way he makes her feel.
With the chemistry between Lily and Alfie undeniable they agree to be friends with benefits and no commitments as Alfie says he can’t offer her that. After a while Lily realises that she is starting to develop feelings for Alfie and needs to put some distance between them and see if he has feelings for her as well.
With things moving on well for Lily, even though she still sees Alfie, they keep their distance until, Alfie tries to get what they had back and Lily lets him know she can’t because of her feelings for him and needs someone who can love her, they decide to give being friends a try.
Lily always tries to do the right thing and keep everyone happy but decides that it’s time for her to work on what she wants to make her happy. I can’t wait to see where Lily and Alfie go in the next book.
