Awwwww! <b>"...and lived happily ever after."</b>

I loved it...when they finally got their shit together and just admitted their feelings, though it took 620 pages!

I laughed, I cried, I ranted, I got driven up the wall several times...

It only took eleven books but they finally, finally, got together and in the end it was so sweet.

As for the other points of the story: What's going to happen with the baby? What about Xcor and his Band of Bastards? What happened to Marisol/Sola? What about Trez and Selena?

I need answers!

Hmm

My feelings for this series...! Conflicted!

The first one was full of petty little revenge plots against Alex for what they thought he'd done to Kat and Lillia's sister. It was quite fun and I got dragged into the story.

This one started off as revenge but turned a little more happy with a blossoming romance. But then that end bit, first with Mary and her little secret, and then Rennie, and then Mary again vowing more revenge. Ugh! Dark and depressing.

Since its a trilogy, I have to read the last book to see how it ends.

4.5 stars.

It would have been 5 if not for that proper cliffhanger ending.

It was all sweetness and light and rainbows and butterfies for me throughout, though it drove me mad a few times with how oblivious they both were to each others feelings, but that end bit! So dark and cliffhanger-y. I even had to carry on into the sneak peek for the next book just to try and get some answers but nope, cut off before we find out if everyone is okay. Bloody hell!

Now i really need to read book 2 to see what happens next.

Like the last two contemporary romances I've read on Kindle Unlimited, this runs along the same sort of lines; Don't get along anywhere but the bedroom.

This one got a little intricate with sub plots and Célian's messed up feelings and thoughts but I still got pulled in. I wanted to bang his head against a wall several times and Jude needed a good talking to on occasion.

I do like this theme but three books with the same sort of plotline has made me a bit immune so I think I'm going to mix it up a bit with my next read.

Mixed feelings
I loved this movie when I was a teenager. I loved the costumes, the drama, the romance. We lived in a bubble back then and were woefully ignorant of racism and all the harm done to people of color (and are still being done to people of color.) So I have a very small soft spot in my heart for this movie but feel terrible about it.

"I was introduced to Fassbinder’s plays at nineteen and his films at twenty. His humor is handled with a kind of wonderful seriousness. Theatrical and absurd and full. The blocking alone makes me weak in the knees. In Beware of a Holy Whore, there’s a scene in which a woman is slapped in the face. It’s really not great, but the degree of detachment after this moment is so severe that it makes sense—not that she was hit but that people hit and get hit. Feelings are constant and often uncontrollable. I think in a past life I must have been German."

"All of Pasolini’s films are very surprising and impressive because they come from somebody with a deep culture who, through cinema, managed to remove himself from that culture. It’s as if he took culture off and, naked, went and walked off into the world. In this film he really succeeded in adhering to the deepest meaning of the text, of the epic narration and storytelling, without adding any element of pathos, psychological feelings, or sentimentalism—which would have been a very easy pitfall. He just tells the story the way it is without adding to it."

I read this book as part of the Anti Bully Readathon. I was hoping and praying for a different ending throughout the entire book. This story sums up how "little" things can be HUGE things for some people and how being kind can go a huge way. I cried, my god did I cry. The feelings that the main character are so intense that you can feel them so deeply just from reading this book. Always ALWAYS choose kindness. You don't know whats going on in other peoples heads. Everyone has their own story.Loved this book, beautifully written.

Yep, I seem to have an obsession with these now.

I enjoyed this one. This is my first non-Yaoi one, it just being a Young Adult romance-in-the-making between a girl and a boy she used to be close to before he disappeared from her life. He's now back, grown up, and with a new name. (I still don't quite understand how names and honorifics work but I'm sure the more I read, I'll work it out)

It's slow going but I like the artwork and the developing feelings between our characters. Off to start #2.
