Leah (: (569 KP) rated Thousands (Dollar book 4) in Books

The story really continues to grow in this book with both Elder and Pim being honest about their lives and feelings.
There are some emotional scenes in this book and one in particular made me cry, this is very rare, I am not a crier.
I still can not recommend this series enough, once you get past the darker content, mainly book one, then it is truly amazing. I love the way both characters are so really with faults and problems and stuff to deal with, however they try to see past that to each other.
Sara Cox (1845 KP) rated In Every Moment We Are Still Alive in Books

There are parts throughout the book where it jumps in time, sometimes it is a relevant memory, but other times I found it hard to reason as to why this "tidbit" had been inserted.
I think I would have liked to have known more about the process the main character had to go through for his daughter, as a lot of the book it about how the system doesn't always work, but I was intrigued as to the details of how it all worked out in the end.

Much like Colette this one felt very long, but that feeling hit much earlier into the screening. I wasn't bored, but there was a lot of this film. I'm not even sure that taking anything out would improve my feelings about it.
I could honestly finish my review there, I made no notes at all. There was nothing that made this film stand out above anything else in this genre. It's a well made film about an average story, and that's its problem.
What you should do
It's a good film but it can definitely wait until it's streaming.
Erika (17789 KP) rated Dracula in TV

I think my biggest problem was the pacing of it all. It seemed rough and uneven. It was all pretty predictable, the 'twists' weren't very twisty.
The thing I liked the most was the snark from Dracula, it was entertaining. I was also thrilled (no sarcasm), that Mina wasn't a huge part of the story, and that Lucy didn't appear until the end.
I don't even know whether to recommend this or not to people. I guess if you have 4 1/2 hours to spare and you like vamps, you'd most likely be entertained.
