Letters to Laura is a set of letters, told from the heart with atypical honesty and bluntness, as recommended by a counsellor. They detail the feelings of a woman on the receiving end of a breakup and everything that entails. They are raw, angry, loving, and kind, basically all of the emotions that you will feel if you allow yourself.

There are so many points to this book that I could agree with, indeed some of the comments made, I've actually made myself. Some of them, I still feel to this day. There is no right or wrong way to work through a breakup, but the worst thing you can do is ignore it. The author of these letters puts it so much more distinctly than I ever could. There is a part where she talks about 'shrapnel' which is totally mind-blowing. I adored that part!

'This book' is not of the norm that is out there.
'This book' is different, in such a good way.
'This book' should make you think.
'This book' should make you look in your own mirror and see yourself honestly.
'This book' is one that you should keep and re-read! Highly recommended.

HIS LORDSHIP'S RETURN is the third full-length novel in this series; Alfie and Nick are back and in London. Although they prefer the freedom they have in Scotland, Mrs Hirkin's husband has passed away and they return to be there for her. Unfortunately, they also find her granddaughter's fiance with a slit throat, which is NOT suicide as suggested. This takes them back to Spitalfields, in more ways than one.

The love between these two is palpable and fairly leaps off the page, even when they disagree. Nick wants to protect Alfie from ever having to return to Spitalfields and everything that holds. Alfie feels the same way, especially when he sees how the place and memories are affecting Nick. The mystery side of things was pretty clear, I thought, but although this is a mystery, it wasn't was drove the story for me. It's the connection between these two, plus the places and other characters that make it such a great read.

Absolutely recommended and I can't wait for the next one. I would definitely recommend you read this as a series though as you need to understand the predicament they are in and the feelings it evokes.

ALEXI is the first book in a new series about a group of Kraken shifters who are called in to assist the police on several missing people cases - or is it a serial murderer? Danik is worried it will be swept away as a serial killer when he just knows they are still alive. Alexi soon puts those fears to rest once they realise they are mates. No way will Alexi go against Danik like that.

So, what do you have? A group of close brothers who tease each other constantly. Different personalities I am looking forward to getting to know. A possibly crooked police force. Missing paranormals, presumed dead, but oh so alive according to Danik. It's all here, and it's FUN.

I loved the way the personalities worked well with each other. Danik and Alexi are just wonderful, giving me warm, squidgy feelings whenever they are soft and cuddly. It is funny, with some brilliant one-liners that kept me amused. The pacing is spot-on, and the ending leads perfectly to the next book.

What's next? A Kraken and a Vampire. Oh, boy!

I honestly can't wait to continue this series. Absolutely recommended by me.

The Keepers Legacy ( The Keepers 1)
By Meg Anne
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With everyone she's ever loved dead, Effie's fate is no longer one of her choosing. Overnight, she becomes the newest initiate of the Keepers of Prophecy, a secret order that Sees what the future holds.

War looms for the land of Elysia, unless Effie can prevent it by harnessing her visions and interpreting their meaning. Yet as what she Sees becomes far more dark and sinister, she finds herself no closer to deciphering it.

Forced to rely on her tutor and Guardian, her inner turmoil deepens when feelings within herself - those she thought died with the man she loved - resurface. One would give up everything to be with her. The other challenges her at every turn.

Struggling to focus amidst her awakening desires, Effie fights to unravel the truth buried within her nightmares. Will she discover it in time to be the salvation Elysia needs... or will one wrong reading damn them all?

This is a spin off and continuation of The Chosen series so I highly recommend reading that series first! I liked this I found the new characters interesting. We go on Effies journey as she moves to the Citadel to explore her own visions with the help of a few new friends, we also get a catch up on a few old ones too.

WICKED GAMES is the first book in the Silvercrest U series, and I'm already hooked! Felix and Killian's story ticked all the right boxes for me.

Due to a family tragedy, Felix and Killian are forced to share a room at the University they both attend. This is something neither of them wanted. However, it does mean they see more of each other than is usual. And when I say see more of each other, I mean that in every sense. Felix comes across as fluffy and light, but he has hidden depths, trust me. As for Killian, Jace, and Jax, what you see is what you get. I certainly wouldn't cross any of them!

My heart broke for Felix as he dealt with everything that was thrown at him, and yet I loved how his relationship with the guys changed. Seeing Jace and Jax tuck him under their wing was so good, in a warped and twisted kinda way. I especially loved seeing the small snippets as Killian realised his feelings for Felix were changing.

Such a brilliant start to the series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I can't wait to return to Silvercrest U!
