Instead of giving a review for this film, which was great, I figured I'd give you all the message I wrote to my girlfriend after I finished the movie, to convey my emotional state and feelings.
I often wonder if they'll create a word in my lifetime that will be able to describe how wonderful you are. I feel like even an attempt would be fruitless, but that doesn't stop me from contemplating it. There are so many things that I need to tell you, so many sights that I need to see with you, so many mistakes that I need to make with you. Giving someone their all is proven to be one of the most difficult things for the human psyche to endure, yet everyday that is all that I wish to do. Whenever I see you, I feel as if I have burst through the surface of water and emerged to take a long exhale. You are my breath. When I see you, time slows and becomes my puppet. I treat it as I please and spin it in a way that maximizes the amount of living that I can achieve with you in the span we are given. I never labeled myself as a person of curiosity, yet you never fail to leave me on the edge of my seat during conversations. I am silent because I am anticipating every word that comes out of your mouth. I crave the tales you relay to me over dinner. I worry that at any moment someone will snap their fingers and it will break me from the allure of the trance you have entangled me in, or worse yet, I'll wake up in a cold sweat alone on a love seat somewhere i cannot remember. That's how delicate the beauty of your words are. Your eyes could pierce my heart in an instant and your smile could throw me into a catatonic state. It's not your attractiveness that does it, although you always look stunning, it's the stories behind your eyes and smile that do it for me. I know the wear and tear that constructs every one of those smiles and glances, which makes them even more vulnerable and valuable. Comparatively, I am but a meek and mere boy observing the greatness of one of the strongest and most determined women on Earth. And I couldn't be happier doing anything else but that.

longer, but so much better than book one!!

This is book 2 in the Blood Bonded Mates series. While not strictly necessary to read book one, Snowed In With The Vampire Prince, it will give you a better understanding of Pierce and James who play a huge part here. And you know, it was rather good! I thoroughly enjoyed that book. But this book??
Freaking LOVED this book!
Ethan is a with without any gifts. Nathaniel is the reigning Vampire King. The witches and vampires will kill each other, if Ethan doesn't do something, and that something is marry Nathaniel. The mirror told him so. What could possibly go wrong?? Well, turns out, feelings could get involved!
What I especially liked was how Ethan's secrets, and Nathaniel's, took time to come out, and they came out to each other slowly. I'm gonna be vague here, cos spoilers, but I loved this, I really did.
Nathaniel knew who Ethan was, right from the start, but he didn't know what would happen. He wanted to spring the idea at Ethan in good time, but things had a way of sending plans out the window!
I loved that we got to catch up with Pierce and James from book 1. They both play a huge part here and it was fab how they seamlessly slotted into this book. I hope they pop up in follwoing books too.
I loved how Ethan and Nathaniel surprised each other, at every turn. Me too, to be fair!! It's a lot longer than book one, some 300 odd pages, and I think this book needed those extra pages. The story was very multi layered.
There is romance and love, and betrayal of the highest order and I loved that I did not see who was the bad guy here! Totally sideswiped with that one, so well played there Mr castle, very well played.
I am loving wathcing these people develop and grow, and as the author puts out more stories, I wanna read them! I can't see who might be next, but I need, NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to read it!

We are welcome back to the Big Valley. Where we left off, we see Rosa's best friend's point of view. In this book, we get to follow Ada and Ephraim some more. Will we find out what happened to Rosa? Is she still alive, or is she gone? Norman and Salina, how are they doing as well? Will we finally see Norman and Salina get married?
We are also still following the Rosa Family; the community is still grieving, and suspicion is still going around. So, we are still suspecting or taking action on Ephraim of Rosa's disappearance. But is there more to the community than dividing the community apart?
Will Ada and Ephraim get together, or will it fall apart? Is there love between Ada and Ephraim? There is so much confusion and pain surrounding Rosa's disappearance that it is hard for anyone to know for sure. But what will happen? Will there be love between a peacemaker and a suspect? Will it last, or will it be too late for the two of them?
Well, Ephraim will return to Lancaster County, where his grandma lives. Will Ephraim and his grandma stay there? But does the Lord have plans?
Ephraim is pondering whether to start looking or make some friends in Lancaster in case he ends up staying.
He seems to ponder this when he finds Blue in the barn. Eventually, he finds a missing pup and starts looking for its owner. He meets Anna.
Back with Ada, she seems to be going about her dad as a greenhouse but appears to be fighting her feelings for Ephraim, though she doesn't know if it's a good thing or not when she knows Rosa broke the relationship up with Ephraim.
Ada hears about Susan through her mother and her friend's mother. She hears Susan lying about not being at a young people's gathering and being out with Ben.
Though Ephraim's father seems to have suffered a major injury that has put him in the hospital and made him and his grandmother hurry to Lewistown, is there a way to pray for them to stay in the Big Valley for good? Or will his grandmother want to return to Lancaster and have her eldest grandchildren go with her?

loved this instalment!

This is book 3 in the Regency Rossingley series, and the blurb states you can read it as a stand alone.
I say, I would recommend that you read at LEAST book 2. That is Lyndon's brother's book and Lyndon was shocking to his brother in that book, and you need to knoww hat he did, because he comments on it a lot. It's not fully explained (I don't think) until late in this book. And he really was awful to his brother.
And, you know, I said so! I liked book 1, and I loved book two but I LOVED this one!
Lyndon is in exile in Norfolk at his estate. Rollo is sent there for the summer to repent for disobeying his father, Lando (book 1), again. Rollo wasn't expecting to enjoy himself, but Lyndon, or Fitz as Rollo takes to calling him, grows on him.
What I especially loved about this one, was apart from obvious attraction, the feelings creep up on them both. The silly little things, like Rollo calling him Fitz. Or Fitz calling Rollo, pup. The brightness Fitz feels in Rollo's company, or the way Fitz cannot NOT track Rollo's movements with his eyes.
Loved how we don't get the full story about Will and what happened in the lake for quite some time and it was so very not what I was thinking. I refer back to the review from book 2, I think this is just the way the author spins her webs and keeps us on our toes! Loved what Will does, for Fitz.
I loved that, while intially Fitz did not want Rollo there, when he left, Fitz was distraught. Hated what happened there.
But what surprised me most, was Lando's acceptence of Rollo and Fitz being together, given their history. And I think, deep down, Benedict (Fitz's brother) wanted him to be happy, even if he was awful to him in the past.
I loved this book, read it in one sitting, and I want more of these men and how they manage to live their lives, amid a time when being with a man is a capital offence.

I cant see where these books are going!

OK, so! Here's the thing: these books are a fair step out of my comfort zone, and I'm bloody LOVING them! But I also hate them. WHY?? I cannot, for the life of me, see where they are going and it's doing my head in! But I am so fully invested in these people and their lives, that I cannot give up. And if I do not get my answers in book 4, I will be mighty peeved!
This is book 3 and you need to read these books in order. It's very important!
In book one, we only got Doran, book 2 gave us Nathaniel as well. Now, in book 3, we get Grace too.
And that girl has a world of pressure on her young shoulders, she really does. The forces that want her gone are circling, pressing in on all sides. They are, systematically, removing her support, piece by piece. And Grace fights, she fights hard and I loved that she starts to find her feet.
Doran and Nathaniel continue to grow their relationship, but the book is mostly clean. The smex scenes are very much faded to grey and I loved that here.
This is, though, a bit darker, I thought. Violent, too. But those wanting her gone play dirty, and deadly, and it all comes to a shocking cliffhanger that I did not see coming and I was annoyed and angry and all sorts of negative feelings that really erupted from me and my kindle hit the wall! (both wall and kindle are unscathed!)
So now Grace and Nathaniel, the man she hates the most, and with good reason, are on the run. Those closest to Grace have been left for dead and she has to trust Nathaniel, she really does.
I said in my review for book 2 that I'm not sure what Samael has to do with anything. I STILL don't know the answer to that!
Because these books keep me fully invested and entertained. Because I cannot see where it's going. Because I am both loving and hating these books in equal measure.
Just bloody because it's my review and I can star it how I see fit . . .

different but very good!

Diana needs a murder; a lone crow is a dead one. But to be accepted back into the murder that banished her, she needs to steal a very powerful blade. But others want it too, and Diana isn't too sure what's going on with her magic. Sasha isn't sure what these feelings are he has for Diana, but he also needs that blade to free himself from the demon who bound him. One of them will not be happy with the outcome.
This is different, and I do like me some different!
Diana is a crow shifter, with 3 legs (who knew?) but she isn't in a murder because her father is a bit of a con man (a LOT, really, by the time we get all the gory details!) and Diana, her mother and father were banished from the murder, but not her younger sister whose magic had been accepted by the murder. Dad wants Diana to steal this blade to get them back into the murder's good graces.
But, seriously, things are NOT as they seem. And Sasha wants that blade to free him from the demon who bound him to a lifetime of servitude. Something though, goes ping in both Diana and Sasha and instead Nobu, a cat shifter who really isn't, and they end up fighting together, rather than against each other.
I liked this, a lot. Like I said different. Humans with angel blood who are bound to demons. Shifters of all manner of being. There was a LOT going on, and at times I did struggle to keep up.
And I think this is the only reason I can't stretch to 5 stars, cos I did feel a little bit overwhelmed at points. Oh don't get me wrong, its a bloody good book, it really was, especially as this appears to be only the third book written by this author, and it is not short book, some 350 pages.
It's violent, some graphic scenes but I think they really are needed. Not explicit in any way, but there is romance, of a fashion, between Diana and Sasha, as their magic combines.
I really hope there are more books about the people in this book, a follow up for Diana and Sasha would be great!
