GameCritics (290 KP) rated That Dragon, Cancer in Video Games
Oct 10, 2017
It’s a slow paced game that can be difficult to watch at times but if you want a strong story and all the feels, then this is the one to turn to. It pushes the boundaries of games as art and it’s genuinely the most emotional game

Dean (6927 KP) rated Fifty Shades Darker (2017) in Movies
Dec 15, 2017
Still a mess
I'm not sure what to make of this? It's not a romantic film, neither erotic despite the content and not dramatic. None of the actions of the Characters really make a lot of sense. Despite watching the extended cut of the film it really just feels like a mish mash of story lines that never really come to anything? Strange one.

Disappointing sequel
It gets off to a great start but sadly is no where near as good as the first film. The action scenes in London at the start are great. It feels like half way through the film they run out of budget and ideas. Could have been so much better.

Feels like a typical 90's action film (2 more)
Cheesy but in a good way
Some great action scenes
Old school action film
I really enjoyed this, it felt like a Arnie action film from when he was at his peak. Slightly silly plot but I found it funny and enjoyable. If you want something that brings back the 90's action film vibe, then this is it.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Mechanic: Resurrection (2016) in Movies

Needs a MOT
It's not as good as the first. The story is very simple, despite what seems a reasonable budget some of the effects and Cgi seem below standard. Although the fights are good the editing feels very choppy, so hard to see what is actually going on. Needs to go back to the garage for more work.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) in Movies
May 30, 2017
It’s just that this feels like two films too much in a film series that should’ve ended in 2007. But, it’s one of those things that always makes me wonder. It’s not that I hate the movie, it’s just that there’s no oomph to it.

Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) in Movies
Aug 9, 2017
Great battle scenes, but certain characters let the film down
While The Two Towers feels a bit more darker than The Fellowship, there are elements which I found generally annoying such as Frodo's flailing character, the ridiculously boring Ents and Gollum in general. However the battle for Helm's Deep is well crafted and absolutely epic.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Burlesque (2010) in Movies
Aug 16, 2017
No razzle, dazzle here
A fairly average film that doesn't offer much more than the typical tried and tested, girl on hard times manages to find an outlet for her talent and comes good scenario. Some good performances by Christina, the soundtrack to the film is good to. However the film feels a good 20mins too long at least.

Sawyer (231 KP) rated Bad Samaritan (2018) in Movies
May 9, 2018
David Tennant performance (2 more)
The main character being smart and interesting
A somewhat different take on a classic story
Some unnecessary characters (1 more)
The pacing doesn't feel the same throughout the movie second hand feels like a different movie
David Tennant Breaking Bad again
All in all pretty decent Thriller nothing groundbreaking characters are interesting David Tennant is awesome the movie is very intense and definitely builds the tension

Auburn (57 KP) rated Rosemarked: Rosemarked Book 1 in Books

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.
This is a story about learning who you truly are, fighting the system, and overcoming death even if it is temporary. Add in a slow build romance that feels real and you have rosemarked.
Zivah and Dineas's story is told from alternating points of view. The author does a fantastic job of portraying each view point.
