Another case of an unnecessary sequel to an incredible movie. Basically undoes all of the story of the first film and makes little to no sense. The cash grab is obvious as they sprinkle in as many random characters as they can. This movie feels so uninspired and so empty. Even a decent message to the film is muddled amongst the chaos of nonsense. Sometimes when you create something great, it doesn't need another chapter. This is a prime example.

This was my second time watching the sequel. And I gotta say, while it isn't as good as the first movie, it holds up extremely well and the movie has some beautiful moments in it. I particularly love the entire sequence when Hiccup's mother and father reunite for the first time in 20 years. It's such a well-done scene and it's touching. The middle act feels like it meanders a bit too much, but overall an extremely solid film!

Mark Douglas' small Scottish life is about to take a bit of a turn, starting with his wife not picking their son up from school. The story spirals into despair and heart break.

I enjoyed the relationship between father and son but the story feels very rushed and silly. It was quite predictable really with such a focus on key parts of the story as it goes downhill.

I really enjoyed this film. It is a little long, but it feels really right. I think Brad Pitt did phenomenal, as well as Cate Blanchett. They were definitely the highlights - Taraji P. Henson too. I find this story super interesting and the details that went into creating this film are really incredible. I can't say I'll ever watch it again - 3 hours is a long time - but I'm really happy that I can add it to my seen list.
