Brutal is the first word that comes to mind for this book. It is unapologetic and brutal. There is no sugar coating instead there is blood, pus, and all other sorts of bodily fluids to make you cringe. Add in some girl on girl love and you have a feminist book for the ages.

Battle of the Sexes (2016)
2016 | Biography, Comedy, Sport
Battle of the Sexes breaks little new ground as either a sports film or a lesbian romance, but it’s lively, funny, and, if you’re unlucky enough to be a feminist in 2017, vicariously wish-fulfilling.

Emotion Picture and amazing album
I played a few songs for my sister the other day and she was so surprised hay I would listen to music like this. It’s not just an African American Female rapper, Monae is an LGBTQ icon and a feminist stronghold. My favorite song is Django Jane for its impressive wordplay.

"“Maiden” is as captivating as any scripted film this year. It tells an incredibly gripping and powerfully feminist tale about the first women’s sailing team to enter the Whitbread Round the World Race with killer archival footage which kept me spellbound the screen, and twists which ultimately subvert every preconceived notion associated with its subject matter."

"I began my career studying, and too often admiring, activists who demanded black (male) power over black communities, including over black women, whom they placed on pedestals and under their feet. Black feminist literature, including these anthologies, helps us recognize black women ‘as human, levelly human,’ as the Combahee River Collective demanded to be seen in 1977."
