This novel is junior fiction. I enjoyed the story, but not as much as some others that I've read along the same line. However, it is still a good, suspenseful read for kids looking for something that's got more grit than the regular old happy novels.

Book Favorite

"Yanagihara’s novel breaks with the decorum of much of contemporary American fiction, laying claim instead to the scope and grandeur that often characterize the greatest queer art. This book elicits strong reactions; however you feel about it, it will be a landmark in your reading life."

"The Coach’s Wife is rife with spine-tingling suspense, conspiracy, deceit, and murder, sizzling and seductive passion, right down to the last second buzzer-beating heroics."
