When I read my first Elizabeth Camden book, I had no idea what to expect. Now...Five books later...I can say that the characters and the stories you will find on these pages are like nothing you have read before. Unique characters, settings, and plot...You will want to read all day long. And with A Daring Venture...that's exactly what I did. I listened to the audiobook while cleaning my house for 2 days straight...till I finished it. And I am only sad that I didn't get to spend more time with Rosalind and Nick.
Tensions are high when this story begins. Water purification is something that even to this day people argue and fight about. I love, Love, LOVE, all the sciencey* things that are talked about. There is SO.MUCH.HISTORY. and even a few REAL people that show up on the page. Rosalind is a woman "ahead of her time" as a biochemist in the early 1900s. THIS is the kind of history that draws me in and grabs my attention.
I adore watching the romance unfold. They have a bumpy road, but it wouldn't be realistic if it was all sunshine and roses for Rosalind and Nick. Family drama, unforgiveness, revenge, fear, scandal, secrets...Oh.yes...This is a book you must get into your hands with all urgency!

Dragons for All
I am a huge fan of the Dragon Age games and was so excited to play this one. Even though it had a lot of great aspects, there were a few problems that made it so it is my least favorite of the games. DAI is amazing because it takes the things everyone loved about the first two and expanded on them. The characters and story lines are so spectacular. I loved how they played into the last two games and each of the characters are unique and fun. The romances are fantastic and have you laughing your butt off at times. However, they were a lot more limited this time. While it was more realistic for the romances options to have preferences, it's still kind of disappointing to not be able to romance everyone regardless of race or gender. That also leads to the disappointment in character customization. I love that they added a new race, but felt that they should have added more than that. I also love how the game is more open world, however I wonder if they were quite ready for it. For me there were a lot of areas that took me way too long to get into (not due the area being closed). There were also quite a few bugs throughout the game that made it really hard to play at times. Regardless of any issues, I still love to play the game and can't wait for the next in the series.

Bast-a-saurus from the Past

Jurassic Park was the first film I ever loved, and sparked my love of cinema. So this film had a lot to live up to for me, and you know what, it was not bad. A bit heavy on the CGI in places, but did bring back the practical effects to create that element of fear you just can’t get from CG. The way the suspense is built up around the Indominus is very good, and brought back that same filling of tension where you find you are actually holding you breath and seat, just a little.
Characters and plot did suffer a little from that repetitive remake syndrome, see also Star Wars the Force Awakens, where the film tries so hard to recreate the love of the original, it just repeats everything.
Two kids, one young and cute, the other a been of a moody teen. A large escaped Dino, which should have been the main attraction. A knowledgeable-about-Dixon’s man and his almost-a-not-sexist-but-still-a-steriorypical-woman love interest out to save the kids, and themselves as things emulate. An overly complacent billionaire, ignorant to the potential danger.
Which film am I talking about....
That said, if what you want is a trip back to your youth and the thrill of seeing dinosaurs on screen, or just some resurrected reptile based mayhem, it’s a great film, and well worth a watch.

Nostalgia at its Finest
I love spyro. I have loved spyro since I was old enough to be able to play the first game. When I heard it was getting a remaster, I probably made actual sounds of joy. And I'm really pleased that the remake does remain faithful to the original in a way that is fun to play and plucks all the good nostalgia heart strings. The short version of the review is to go and get the game, especially if you've played the originals.
However, there's a few niggles I have. Hunter's new voice is irritating and not how i think of the character at all. Sometimes the camera has an absolute mind if it's own and refuses to remain to behave in a way that makes any sense and...
The glitches.
They're especially prevalent in Spyro 3 and within that, the skateboard races. The final race against the yetis took me upwards of an hour to beat simply because of how glitchy and broken so many of the mechanics that it needed to function were incredibly broken. Several of the trophies were also so persistently not triggering that at one point I had to put the controller down and walk away.
And I hate that they've tainted the game enough that i don't want to replay the third one again.
But yes, all in all, I love spyro, I love the games and I enjoyed my time with the remake.

I got this from the Kindle Unlimited Library after having it on my Amazon wish list for several years after finishing book 1. I'll admit now that I've forgotten a lot of what happened with it being so long ago (2016.)
It starts with Drew trying to get himself under control after being dumped by Trent in an effort to stop any abuse they may face in the future for being gay, especially since Trent is nursing some bruises and cracked ribs after being jumped by four members of his own fraternity. They argue for a while before it becomes obvious that they're stronger and better together and figure out how to tell everyone that they're a couple.
I think the fact that it's been 4 years since i finished the first book ruined this one for me. I didn't remember a lot of what went on but my 4.5 star rating tells me I fell in love with these two. They are pretty great separately but together? They're super cute.
As for their parents, what is up with them? They are your children! You're supposed to love them regardless of their sexuality. Why does who they fall in love with have to change how you feel about them? I really don't get it. They're still the same person you raised for the last however many years.
This is most likely to be my last book of 2020 and I'm glad it's been a good one - I still wish I'd come back to this sooner.

The Electric Kingdom is a novel that takes another look at the beauty of humans in a post apocalyptic world. Eighteen years after a deadly Fly Flu sweeps the globe, killing most of the population, Nico and her dog, Harry get sent on a voyage by Nico’s father to find a mythical portal. Along the way, she meets other children, including a young artist named Kit. There’s also the Deliverer, who lives Life after Life in an attempt to put the world back together. This story is an exploration of art, love, life, and finding beauty.
Every character that David Arnold writes in this book is so full of love, warmth, and heartbreak. I fell in love with Kit and his outlook on live. It was beautiful. The relationship he had with his mother Dakota, and why he calls her “My Dakota” made me tear up.
I’m not sure I completely understand the whole dynamics of the world that is in this book, but I still very much enjoyed it! There are so many layers and plot twists and double backs, you don’t realize how intense it is until you’re half way through it. By then, Arnold has you hooked and you’ve got to find out what happens and how it’s all connected!
I haven’t read anything from Arnold before but I enjoyed this one and will seeking out others from him.

This book has everything that I like in a paranormal read; action, romance, investigations... I really, really, really liked it!

I literally read every word of this, which I don't always do as it is generally just filler/too much information for my liking, but I felt like I would miss something if I missed any one word of this. And still managed to finish it within three days
The case took up all the book and I have to admit that I had no idea who was behind it all but I loved how the author had linked everything together.
The romance was slow growing; it wasn't insta-love and I really felt it happening which was great. I love Kyle and Joe as a couple. I'd love to read more of them (nudge, nudge ;-))
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books by the author if there is more along this line coming. Great book for a debut!
