But in all my centuries, I've never known desire--until now.
He's a mortal. And the longer I'm with him, the more I crave his touch.
Yet binding myself to this human is forbidden. Without a doubt, it's fatal.
When I discover that he possesses abilities beyond his knowledge--a force strong enough to eradicate my kind--I have to make a choice.
One, destroy him before he destroys my race.
Or two, contain his magic by sealing his heart with someone else's.
This was a strange read but strange in a good way I think. It was a sweet story of love finding love for herself. I loved the interaction with the other emotional gods they certainly all have a story. I just can’t put my finger on what was so odd about the book I’m certainly interested in reading more by this author. For now this would be 3 stars for me.

I found myself quickly interested in the story of Sam and Lilly. The older woman, who gives so much of herself to everyone else and finally decides to do something for herself. The slightly younger man, a professor, who usually tries to avoid all of the women in his classes. It's a forbidden romance, that is just so right.
I was frustrated when the story would shift from their lives to these other characters that I couldn't figure out why I was reading about them. Then when the two stories merged everything got so much more intense and I couldn't stop until I finished.
Wonderful read.

I know I have to stay away but she��s like forbidden fruit, the one thing I can’t have and the sinner in me wants to corrupt her in every way I can; taint her like only I know how. And I will, at least for a while. I always get what I want. Always. Even if it means breaking hearts.
Lily: He’s within reach but always so far away. For the longest time I’ve watched and waited, admired him, ached for him, all from a distance. But now my time has come. It’s now or never. He’s all wrong for me, I know that. I’ve always known, but it doesn’t stop me wanting him, it never will. The question is, can my heart ever recover or beat again the same way when he’s finished with me? Or will I live to regret laying my heart on the line and baring my soul to the one man who has the power to shatter me forever.
It was good I enjoyed it maybe not as much as the first one but it was good. A very sweet ending.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. Or had a strong story and very good character and world building. It was an easy straightforward read that kept you really interested in the outcome. I’m hoping this writer does more in the future.

Not as good as some of the others
This series is a must buy for me. I've loved all of them so far, some more than others, admittedly, but none less than four stars.
This one didn't hook me as much as the others but I still felt a lot of emotion when it came to Knox. The poor guy. I wanted to equally hug him and slap him through out the present parts of the story.
I really like how the stories are inter twining. Cousins, brothers, best friends, school friends...its a little complicated at times but I like it.
My favourite Forbidden man has got to be Ten, still, but they're all really great. I can't wait to read Asher's story next!

Loved it!!! I’m a huge fan of Hades so I was hopeful about this one. I couldn’t put it down. It’s definitely a series I can’t wait to read more of.

One of those movies which has clearly been influential but remains relatively little-seen, certainly in the original version. XB-1 and its crew (mostly good-looking young people, a few rugged old character actors, and a fairly dreadful robot prop) blast off for Alpha Centauri but must come to terms with the strains of long-haul spaceflight and various dangers (radiation, dangerous derelicts, and so on).
Arguably the missing link between Forbidden Planet and 2001: A Space Odyssey (yes, that's a bold claim), with a strange mixture of pulp SF tropes but also downbeat psychological realism. Notably good and interesting sets, photography, and a memorable avant-garde musical score too. The story is a bit episodic and not exactly pacey, but the rest of the film makes up for this.
