"The great American epic. America’s genetic code. I found great inspiration in this book for my work. Melville is our foremost oracle."

Excellent Short Read
I really enjoyed reading this book. I found the word choices and usage to be somewhat simple, which left me disappointed. However, I found the character development and story line relatable and compelling. A short read, but worth it. Looking forward to sharing my experience with my book group.

I found it hard to put down. The characters were mostly well written, especially Joe. There were enough twists to keep me guessing. (0 more)
The only character that I couldnt completely get onboard with was Peach, I found her relationship with Beck odd and difficult to follow but not enough to stop me enjoying the book. (0 more)

Just a book about philosophy
Perhaps not my kind of book, I didnt really enjoy the concept and found the philosophy lessons quite long and boring. The plot was interesting but I didnt finish the book. Found it a but strange that a young girl just trusts an old man who sends her letters.
