Love baking shows
I could watch baking competition shows all day and night. They did an American version of this show which wasn't as good. Just found this on Netflix and I am hooked.

@Andy K I love this show however I’m sorry but I had to edit the title, not sure what it’s called on Netflix in the US but it’s definitely called The Great British Bake Off over here...

Do not buy! Clearly fake and gave me a headache. I saw wording threw the bottle so ripped the label off thinking that there was information on the back of it and found this!

I really enjoyed it! It is a classic old movie, with a very interesting story of a girl that has an imaginary friend, and I even found myself laughing out loud at many scenes.

Insight into the gold rush (0 more)
Having found this randomly, I wasn't sure what it would be like, but wasn't disappointed, although I didn't warm to many of the guys involved and found them quite selfish and not overly pleasant but it helped to show how difficult it could be to make the journey back during the gold rush and what months as a group could be like.

It was a relively easy and informative 4 episode watch, through some amazing scenery....

I found the set-up of the book to be perfect (the writing, the plot, the characters, etc.) (0 more)
A blatantly honest, gripping story about family.
"It blew me away. I found myself constantly highlighting quotes from it, stopping to think about how incredibly relatable it is. It is a book not only about death and grieving, but the ghosts that follow you throughout your life. Anne Enright speaks your innermost unspoken thoughts, and she does so unapologetically." -my bookstagram account, rorythereader.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. When I started it I was afraid that it was going to be like every fairytale about a princess. Dead mother, absent father, unwanted suitor, magic, the clearly right boy choice. But As I read I found myself enraptured by the main character and her relationship with her sisters. The story was fun and had some unique twists. I found this to be a great, light read that just made me happy.

Little Sacrifices was a mixture of good and bad. The prose was generally well constructed, precise and authentic.

However, I found the plot lines disjointed and scatty. They didn't seem to be woven together very well, more like levered in to suit the whims of the author.

I was initially attracted to the book by the civil rights themes but found it mainly a book about teenage issues. On this basis I think this is more suited to a young adult audience.
