"It’s hard for Bacon's arresting paintings to be contained in a book, but I have always found the palette and the analysis in this book to be a very comprehensive portrait of Bacon's aggressive, personal and beautiful work."

"The more I rewatch it, the more I love cinema, and the less I understand it. Few films have managed to morph into cinema itself. Contempt is cinema found, it’s cinema experienced like a sunset on the world."

I enjoyed the humor, the voice acting, and the plot. I also liked that the heroine wasn't just there to be married off once she finished what she had to do. I found the songs especially delightful. (0 more)
I saw the songs on Youtube long before I watched the movie. The movie lived up to the catchy songs, though I wasn't sure it would. Some parts of the movie, like the killer coconuts, probably could have been left out or beefed up, but I found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable movie.

Enjoyed this book immensely. I found I was constantly entertaining possible who done its through out the entire book. I found myself staying up late at night because I couldn't go to sleep because if I put the book down, I was constantly thinking about what would happen next. I was happy to finish the book and sad at the same time. This book is well thought-out and the characters are engaging from the moment they are introduced. The story line was fast paced and compelling. Fantastic read and would highly recommend this book.

Not for everyone
I personally have always struggled this the series not just theone book from a young age. It may personally be because, as I grew up, I found I was more into true Horror/paranormal/distopian genres but I found this book very easy to put down and forget about and could never seem to get more than half way through the book and boredom caused me to put it down. I appreciate it's seen as literary genius but it is certainly not everyone's cup of tea.
