Pretentious (0 more)
I have never given up on a book before. But I found the characters and writing very pretentious. If you haven't read a ton of obscure books, a lot of references will be lost on you as a reader. After 40 pages I personally couldn't take it any more.

Watched the recent series and found it very interesting, didn’t realise at the time that both the wife and brother and been on the show. All the background information was fascinating, so did they really cheat or not as they were not part of the quizzing group in the background.

David gemmell has always been my favourite heroic fantasy author, especially his Rigante series. I found this book rather slow moving, far fetched and hard to get into. Barring all that I did enjoy once it got going, although maybe wouldnt reccomend this one as much as some of his others.

"“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is pretty much a masterpiece. It is gorgeous to look at, hilarious and harrowing, so well-acted, and touches cult history along its edges in quite clever and satisfying ways. I think this is Quentin’s best work – found it to be a great ride."
