"All of Wes’s stuff is great, but I really love this one because it was the first time Wes found Wes 2.0. It was like, oh, you’ve unlocked another way of shooting for yourself, which you now see manifested in films like Moonrise Kingdom. His style is now wider than ever."

Perhaps I'm biased but when I was a seventh-grader going through her parent's divorce I found comfort in this book. Every single word even the long descriptions of corn.

Now, having received my own copy for Christmas I was able to laugh and cry all over again. Thank you, Dewey.

"Daltry in the beans is kind of disgusting. Reminds me of this ridiculous British fetish magazine my old tour manager found on the road years ago, called Splosh!, which featured pictorials of office secretaries at their desks, dousing themselves with high volumes of food, all mishmashed into a culinary miasma."

"I got an education in empowerment - In eighth grade I found my mother's copy of Erica Jong's Fear of Flying, which she'd hidden from me. I had no idea what all the sex stuff meant! Still, I knew it was about more than sexuality, that it was about female liberation."

"She [her daughter] is hooked on The Baby-Sitters Club series, though. They're only in print up to volume 7, so I wrote to the author, Ann M. Martin—but she didn't have any more! We found a hundred-and-fifty-something books on eBay, and she can't stop reading them."

"This is from an amazing live album called Emergency Ward that I found in a record store not long ago. This George Harrison cover has such a powerful vocal performance from Nina with this big dynamic piano backing her up for about 11 minutes. There's something really meditative about it."

I hate to give a 2 star review, but for some reason, this novella could not hold my interest. Not that I wasn't curious about Dawson and Bethany's story, but I found myself skipping through a lot of it. It was still a sweet story.

I found this film very entertaining. It is a film-oriented at children and YA, and I loved the message it sends. I absolutely loved Enola, she is a strong and curious girl. Even though the plot can get silly sometimes, I really enjoyed it.

After author Paul Torday died, his son Piers found his father's last manuscript, which was supposed to become his ninth novel. Piers decided to complete this unfinished work to honor his father's memory. Read my review of this unintentional collaborative effort here.
