I have mixed feelings about this novel; there were aspects I liked, then at some points, i found it tedious.
The portrayal of James VI/I was interesting, and I agreed with it for the most part. Mahmoud was likeable, and an interesting character.
I just don't really know if i liked this on a whole.

"Here’s an odd one — An Angel at My Table, by Jane Campion. It’s an odd choice and I can’t quite tell you why. I’ve always found that film very affecting. Kerry Fox’s performance is great and it’s such a particular study of such a particular character done in a very stylish way. It’s just always stayed with me."

This one didn't captivate me quite as much as daisy jones and the six hence the 0.5 star I knocked off because there were some parts that I just found dragged a little but all in all I loved this one as well, taylor jenkins reid can do no wrong, and I would die for harry cameron

I'm giving this one up; a DNF. I didn't like the style or the storyline. I couldn't gel with it and I found it really bizarre that Harlowe wasn't scared of the vampire. Any normal person would be whether they have a fascination with Ireland and vampires or not. Just too strange for my liking, I'm afraid.

"It's absolute bullshit that I didn't see this until last month. I was trying to get my hands on it and I'm not someone who understands how to find rare movies on the internet. Finally found the DVD at a friend's house and watched it immediately. Melanie Mayron's performance is a knock-out, it's a perfect movie."
