This was a fun read and something a little different to the usual murder/mystery and whilst there are times when I found it a little immature - surprising really as the main character is in her 30's - overall, I quite enjoyed it.
The main characters of Claire, Sophie, Basher and Alex are an excellent eclectic group of people (and a ghost!) and I found their friendship was really well developed and felt authentic; the other characters ... not so much; they were a little stereotypical which was unfortunate. The mystery element was intriguing but the pace was a little slow.
Overall, a pretty good read although it may appeal to a more younger audience than me, i.e., under 30's!
Thanks to Atlantic Books, Corvus and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of Grave Expectations.

This is the life tale of Martin Dumollard who committed the French maid massacres, I have never heard of this one in all honesty but found it a very interesting insightful read.
I found it hard to put down with all the information about the murders and his and his wife's trial, the hardships and suffering he had whilst growing up, and the pressure he was placed under to make things perfect for his wife.
I feel slightly odd saying this considering after all said and done Martin was a murderer but I did feel a little sorry for him it seems like even back then the pressures of society to be 'perfect' pushed people to do things to survive.
A very insightful read with a lot of information about the case. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend you read it.

An enjoyable and quick read but nothing that blew my mind.
Strange things start happening when Dr Alison Wilson starts her new job as Medical Director in a new hospital in a new town. It quickly becomes obvious that someone doesn't want her to be there and is doing all they can to undermine her in any way they can.
Whilst I found this quite predictable and had pegged the protagonist early on, I did quite enjoy how it got to the end. I quite liked the character of Dr Wilson and the way the dynamics between the various staff members was portrayed which I found felt authentic.
Maybe not the thriller I was expecting but enjoyable nonetheless and my thanks go to Avon Books UK and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of The Doctor.

A Rich Addition for Fans of His Dark Materials
For some reason, I found it hard to sit down and read this for a long time, but this may have been due to a reading slump rather than the book itself. It adds to Pullman's rich world, and poses further questions, which I have always loved His Dark Materials for. Very anxious to read the next book!

Feels like a typical 90's action film (2 more)
Cheesy but in a good way
Some great action scenes
Old school action film
I really enjoyed this, it felt like a Arnie action film from when he was at his peak. Slightly silly plot but I found it funny and enjoyable. If you want something that brings back the 90's action film vibe, then this is it.
Shaun Collins (3 KP) rated Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor, Vol. 1: A Matter of Life and Death in Books

Individually the stories found in this volume are standard fare, good but not overly engaging. The arc they tell is also fine, just not outstanding. Which is a shame because the final segment is outstanding, but it comes as the capstone to a mostly alright endeavor. George Mann has a great grasp of the Eighth Doctor however, and it's worth reading for his "voice" if nothing else.

The sound track (2 more)
The singing/song mash ups
Cast chemistry
Hits the right notes
I found this surprisingly funny and enjoyed the sound track for the film. I'm not a big fan of Musicals and a lot of singing in films, but this still felt more like a Rom/com. You can tell the cast had a blast making this film. Give it a whirl.

Alright could have been better
While Wonder Women (2017) was an improvement upon the other DCEU films it still was found lacking in spots. The use of green screen was obvious in certain spots. The villain while built up to being the big bad god of war the reveal of being a pale British man made it a bit more humourish then what it should have been.

Hard time connecting with the adults, the children were far more interesting to me. I was expecting more intrigue, or maybe I missed it.I liked it, but I didn’t fully follow what was happening and found myself going back to read again
