"Sounds like a post Chernobyl Fallout album very similar musically to early Lene & Pet Shops. I love 'The Way That I Found You', 'Commodore Rock' and 'Playgirl'. I don't know what it is about them but I love her voice and dead pan delivery - there's a hint of 60's Lynne Redgrave from Smashing Time & loads of mid 80's references. Which leads me neatly to..."

"When I first saw this at university, in 1960, I found it boring. Yet something made me watch it a second time that same term, and I fell under the spell of Antonioni’s mesmeric camera movements, his grasp of love and its heartaches, and above all the impassioned beauty of Monica Vitti. The film looks as freshly minted as if it had just been released."

"I’m not the first person who felt he’d found a soul mate upon first encountering Cassavetes’s work, but it’s a testament to how immensely personal and humane his cinema is that it seems to be speaking directly to the soul of whoever is taking it in. I will carry this astounding body of work in my heart until the day it stops beating. My hero."

Hmm... I wasn't overly impressed with this one. Some of Josh's work, i really love and others i just don't gel with so well and this is the latter.

The investigation had me intrigued but i felt a little disappointed when i found out who was behind it. Nevertheless, i am a little inintrigued as to what might happen next between Kennedy and West.

Better than expected
Carrying on from the old National Lampoon's Vacation series of films. I didn't expect much from this to be honest but found it a lot funnier than I expected. Some good cameos as well. Although it's not as funny as the original, which is hilarious, this does a good enough job of re-creating the fun of the Vacation films.

"As one of the most powerful black voices in the fashion industry—an industry rife with racism—I found André’s journey on how he overcame all of the prejudices in a system designed to exclude him, so inspiring. I was captivated by his singular voice and left in awe of his tenacity. I consider it an honor to call him a colleague and friend."

Crass, crude and clumsy. I couldn't wait to finish this book. I found the storyline ridiculous and was patched together with lots of lectures about the plight of Africa. Whilst I think that enlightening us all about the corruption and aid problems is a noble cause, the way it was shoehorned in around this ludicrous poorly written story was a shameful insult for a novel.

Rushed but thrilling
This is thrilling and a real page turner but it did feel rushed in places. I like the main character and found the use of the term mother quite haunting.

Sometimes the dialogue felt repetitive and was used over the top when building tension.

Having said that, I couldn't put it down and enjoyed the story.
