Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Stalking the Puzzle Lady (Puzzle Lady #7) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Cora has a problem. One of her many fans is stalking her, but she doesn't know who it is. And when he turns to murder, things really get out of hand. As always, I found parts of the book laugh out loud funny while other parts were highly suspenseful. If only the endings were stronger.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Arsenic and Old Puzzles (Puzzle Lady #14) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Cora Felton has found herself involved in another murder when a Sudoku shows up on the body of a man poisoned at a boarding house in town. It's the usual verbal sparring and puzzles fans of the series will love. I was just bothered by one action Cora took part way through the book.

I really, really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, through most of it I found the main character annoying and...well, kind of a bitch. It's possible that's what I was supposed to think, but since it was written in first person, it prevented me from really connecting with her. If you're a big chick lit fan, though, I could see that it might be enjoyable. Alas, it was not for me.

Excellent plot (1 more)
Great special effects
Really intriguing
A really great movie, which was very intriguing, about Two brother who managed to escape the cult they were in as a child, and their journey back, so the older brother can prove that their lives have improved since they left
I found certain parts of the storyline very easy to guess, but the final scenes were hard to see coming!!
Very good for all sci-fi lovers!

I really enjoyed this collection of survivor stories. This was truly inspirational. At this moment, I have been dealing with some personal drama that has made me give up hope. It was truly a blessing that I found this novel as a Kindle First novel.
This book shows that we can all survive horrid situations. This is a good book if you're wanting an inspirational novel that shows the strength of survivors or horrid situations.

I was not a fan of this docu-series based on the pizza bombing in PA. It wasn't engaging, and it was pretty boring. I didn't feel any sympathy for any of the characters, and the back and forth was irritating to me. Was the victim a victim, or part of the whole thing? Honestly, I didn't care, and I found it hard to watch until the end.
Evil genius? Yeah...ok.

I found this book just didnt hit the mark for me - some parts were funny and entertaining but for the most part I felt it didn't really have a plot - I hated all of the secondary characters, every last one - I had never been so happy to get one on one with the mains because I enjoyed them - I like the name, the emergency contact theme was cute but alas, just didn't hit the marks.

Well this doesn't seem to be too popular. I can see why, I found it ok but far from great or laugh out loud funny. One that plays on the male/female relationship during an usual setting and events. Seems a popular choice of idea with The Killers, Knight and Day also out this year. However for a Rom-com The ugly truth was way better and for more action go for Knight and day.

Slow burner
Found this film on Netflix, not sure what I was expecting but it was more than what the film had to offer. It seemed to me to be a very slow burner, while the story was good I think things could have been a bit deeper with a bit more story. I'm not sure, it was worth a watch and the ending was tough to watch. But not what I expected.

Hold out till the end
I liked the ending of this book, but there was so many times I wanted to give up and put the book down!
No I can’t I need to finnish it.
So many times I found this book boring, I just wanted more to happen, half the time it’s the same thing each day.
I still don’t understand what all the fuss was about.
