An absurd collection of tabloid-style articles that marries folklore, fairytales, and nursery rhymes with the issues of everyday life. From Rumplestiltskin being indicted for the straw-to-gold scandal to the sibling drama of the three little pigs, with headlines such as “Game-Changing Name Change for Rumplestiltskin” and “Wolf Suing Pigs for Injuries Sustained” you’re sure to be entertained.

As a lifelong fan of classic fairytales, I found myself laughing out loud as beloved characters were used to mock and poke fun at real-world issues.

From reading this book, I found this book to be a very good read. This was one of them books where I didnt want to put it down and was hoping it was going to have a good ending which it very much did to me. So many emotions went through me when reading this book. I felt so sad for Sal and the situation that they was in.

I reccomend this book to everyone

A bit of a slow starter (0 more)
Loved it
Once I got past the first few chapters I really got into it. I found it to be a bit of a slow starter due to the constant negative references to Buffy, which I get that there had to be a bit of tension there, but was maybe a bit repetitive. Other than that it was a fantastic read so I pre-ordered the 2nd one which I aim to start soon.

Some very poor acting
Confusion
So I watched 6 Underground as soon as it came out on Netflix, however I found out straight away, that it was a film guilty of misleading you in the trailers. As much as I loved the action sequences and always enjoy Ryan Reynolds I can decide if this was a half decent action film or just a collection of action film cliches thrown together in a montage with a Ryan Reynolds monologue playing over the top!

I found this book at a used bookstore. I have read Wrede before and it was fun reading something from her earlier works and seen how much she had grown as an author.
This book was written at a time when female characters were not normally a lead, so there is a few stumbles as she establishes her world and where everything is going. It can be a bit predictable and underwhelming at places. but all in all an easy read that shows potential and fun take on the epic genre.

Hmmm....
This was not the book for me unfortunately. I found the main character Flavia very unbelievable. She was wise beyond her years and seemed to flirt with older men at the age of 12. I felt like this tried to mirror some of Arthur Conan Doyle's writing but just really missed the mark (for me). The plot was quite obvious aswell. Surprised that it has some considerable accolades.

(Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews)

The Logo Board Game
The Logo Board Game
2009 | Quiz / Trivia
If you are wanting a game to test your knowledge of different logos, this is not the game for you. This a trivia game that goes well into slogans, numbers, history, and so much more. We had a lot of fun playing it, however the kids found it much harder to play as they don't recognize a lot of the older brands. While this is labeled for ages 12 and up, adults will find it easier to answer several of the trivia questions, while the younger crowd struggles to make it thru a card.

Have been laid up with a bad back for over a month. Been prety much confined to either bed or the couch for that time and the only consolation has been the time that I've had to watch films and I have watched well over 70!

It's times like this that I'm glad that my hobby is film and TV and not something more sporty!

Catching up on the classics on my to watch list as well as some more recent fair. Found some real gems and some surprising duds. By that show business... ;)
