I simply loved this book and I found it hard to put it down. I've never really been a mermaid fan but these past few months as I've been discovering new authors I have certainly fallen in love with mer books. This book has just the right amount of drama, action and turmoil and I love that it is cleanly written so that my preteen daughter can read it as well.

I ordered the second book yesterday and I can't wait for it to come in. I loved the story line, the beautiful world building and the characters. It's a must read.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review when I signed up to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review.

This was a good read with not one, but two strong female leads who are strong willed and not afraid of saying what needs to be said or doing what needs to be done. This fantasy book is well written with believable characters and contains sexual situations. The only thing lacking in this novella is that I found it to be way too short. I look forward to reading more of this author's books.

I received an ebook copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book had so much possibility however; I found myself getting confused during many parts of the story because the author themselves seemed confused when writing. I was completely thrown off by the fact that though her father sexually abused her she was more angry at her mother. This book was in need of proofreading before it went to print. A few typographical errors is one thing but this book seemed to be plagued by many. The book cover is absolutely beautiful. I don't recommend this book to any one.

Fantastic Read
I'm not quite sure why this book has received the ratings it has but that's the beauty of having an opinion. With that being said I will now share my thoughts and start my review by saying that I enjoyed reading this. I found the characters easy to relate to and able to see and experience the differences on each one. The author's writing made this retelling a fantastic read for me. -YA/NA Book Divas

So far the Lethbridge-Stewart series has come in two varieties; good, and stellar. This is one of the later.

The plot is well written with a series of adventures that culminate quite satisfactorily, character development is top drawer, the action is well done, and above all else, it's a hell of a lot of fun to read. This book trucks from beginning to end without a lull in sight. If you've been following along with the Lethbridge-Stewart line, nudge this one higher on your to do list, you'll thank me for it.

Great start to a new start!
I know, I know your probably sitting thier like wait how can the story be bad and good? The story is fresh and does not follow the orginal
Concepts of the older King Kong movies. With the direction the franchise appears to be taking, it was a perfect start, however i found the enemys to be a bit confusing and would have liked to have seen a bit more of a story develope with them. The acting was in my opinin fantastic a great alround cast for the film.

I am embarrassed to say that I have never read anything by Joe Hart before ... well, after this, I won't make the same mistake again and I am so pleased that I took a punt and requested a copy via www.netgalley.com and am grateful that the publisher, Thomas & Mercer, sent me a copy in return for an honest review.

I liked everything about it ... the story, the pace and style of writing, the sense of tension that grows in intensity, the characters, etc, etc ... it was great.

4.75 Stars. This book is phenomenal. I read in on sitting and could not stop!

Olly and Maddy's relationship progression was amazingly written and even though there was a small spark of insta-love , the relationship as a whole was well thought out and well-paced.

The part of this that brought it down from a 5 (which as a whole it deserved) is what she found out about the disease in the end. That was a little to cinematic (Bubble Boy) for me.

I wish there was more of it to devour - definitley an Incredible book.

Hmmm...
That's all I find myself saying. I've heard a lot of debate about the Netflix series & how it glorifies suicide. After reading the book, & not yet having watched the series, I don't see how one can say that. I found it just plain sad & heartbreaking. It is so easy to look past the signs of suicide. It's frightening to think about how many times this might really happen. Not necessarily in this dramatic a fashion but, how many times people take for granted having another chance or being afraid of what someone else thinks or might think about them.

This book was a great read. It was fast paced & not easy to predict. Unlike a lot of murder mystery thrillers the ending even made me cry. The main character Jane is prefectly flawed like all of us, but at times it was taken a little bit too far to be believeble. At the same time my heart went out to her & I wanted to see her overcome her demons so to speak. The horror that Emily experienced was heart breaking. She was another character I found myself rooting for through the book. Very well written!
