A year in the life of a young woman who moves to New York and gets a job in a high end restaurant. Tess is 22 and lives life to its fullest - that’s if you count drinking hard, taking drugs and hardly sleeping as living hard. She learns a lot about food and wine, but not so much about personal relationships.
This was heralded as the book of Summer 2016, but I’m afraid I found it boring. Nothing much happens, she’s so self-centred as to be a rather unpleasant character. Reading this feels like time I can’t get back, I’m afraid!

Had a very captivating story line (0 more)
I have recently been in a reading slump and have had to give up on three books that I just couldn't finish. Until I found Little Bee, the story captivated me from the first chapter. Instead of being told from a generic point of view it is told from two separate people's points of view. Which I loved. The two stories come together very nicely at the end through many ups and downs. Little Bee humbled me with her story and I can't wait to read more by this author.

Jordan Peele doing what he does best
I believe that Jordan Peele (one of my favourite directors recently) has truly found his forte. Successfully, he creates another amazing horror film that leaves you tingling with suspended throughout the entire film. The cast also have been chosen perfectly for their roles and the characterisation that comes with them, however this can only be done with skilled actors such as Lupita Nyong'o. Only problem was the tethered lady's voice which sounded like she needed a good cough (just joking ? ). Brilliant film though

I’m reviewing the “Top 10 of Everything 2018”, and as the title suggests this is a fun book full of top ten lists, all found to astound you, by the fabulous information gatherer Paul Terry.

On each page there’s additional facts with engaging pictures. There’s also a full subject index, which will have information seekers drooling. Young and old, alike.

An ideal book for any list-loving who enjoys learning new things and discovering mind-boggling facts you just wouldn’t find anywhere else.

Perfect for quiz masters, curious minds, and for use as a coffee-table book to get the conversation flowing!

Thor: God of lightning
Theres good comic book movies, theres bad comic book movies and then theres Thor.
Chris Hemsworth stars as Thor, marvels answer to Gladiator.

Because of this he is stripped of his position and banished to Earth. Found by jane, an astrophysicist, he must earn his powers back, stop his untrustworthy adopted brother Loki (Tom hiddleston) and save 2 Realms from total destruction. Thor is a fun film for everyone.

I honestly found this book uninteresting and frustrating. It was boring at best and the only reason I continued was to finish the novel to get to Twin of Fire. Not only that but the characters were frustrating to the point that I almost threw the book. Jude Deveraux seemed to have make her characters so dense and ignorant that they didn't understand something that was continually and blatantly said to them. I couldn't imagine people that dense. Had I known this book was going to be the way it was, I would have never started it.

I seldom ever leave a novel unfinished once I have begun reading it. There are exceptions, however, and this so called "erotic" novel was one of them.

The only comments that I can give after reading the few chapters are even fewer. Her style is like that of Hemingway's, choppy and a stream of consciousness so that I found myself constantly rereading the same sentences and paragraphs just to understand what the author was trying to say. To me, the writing seemed far to staccato to even enjoy. I don't think I will be reading any more of Ms. Schone's erotic novels.

This film does exactly as it sets out to do. It's a pure over the top adrenalin rush almost from start to finish. Babes, bullets, blood, bad-ass characters and a Dodge charger. Think Crank meets Shoot 'em up with an almost comic book setting. I really enjoyed and found it an action packed film, that's tongue firmly in cheek. Add a cool car and the sexy Amber Heard and you get good popcorn entertainment, would have liked to have seen it in 3D! If you like wild wacky films that are just fun to watch check this out!

Never ending challenging fun
I've tried other hidden object games before, but after just a couple times of logging in, I found I was easily bored, or confused by the flow of the game. With Seeker's Notes, I find myself challenged and motivated to play. The levels get progressively harder, but not so drastically that you give up or have to spend a fortune to simply play. The graphics are phenomenal and the game runs with very few glitches. Plus, the support staff are quick to answer questions and help if you do run into problems.

Ceepak and Danny are back on the beat in the resort town of Sea Haven, New Jersey! This go around, a woman dies on the first run of the town's new wooden roller coaster. It seems like nothing suspicious until a definitely murdered woman is found. Is there a connection? I love these characters, so it's always great to spend time with them. The story was entertaining with some nice twists and a nail bitter of an ending.
