Sue (5 KP) rated A Village Shattered (Logan & Cafferty, #1) in Books
Aug 13, 2018
While the book had a good plot and kept you guessing as to who done it, I found the chapters a bit choppy. There didn't seem to be a transition from one scene to another, which made me have to re-read sections to see if I missed a page somewhere. There were also a lot of characters to try to follow and no real introduction to them. This is the first book in the series and I am told that they get better, so I am willing to read the second in the series as the first one wasn't totally bad.

The Equalizer 2 (2018) may take some odd turns but evens out into a solid vigilante thriller. #Review
I’m enough of a fan of the original TV show “The Equalizer” to wish Antoine Fuqua had found a way to incorporate Stewart Copeland’s superb synth-driven theme tune into this modern reinterpretation. But my favourite part of the TV series was always the helping out of ‘the little guy’ rather than the bigger, over-arching spycraft arcs. It’s in this area that “The Equalizer 2” unexpectedly delights even as it leads to a slightly meandering story on screen... FULL REVIEW: http://bit.ly/CraggusEqualizer2
Ivana A. | Diary of Difference (1171 KP) rated Sexual Decisions: The Ultimate Teen Guide in Books

Thank you Kris for sending me over this amazing book.
This is for everyone that has teens in their families. This is for every teen, and for every adult. There have been so many things that I found out about this book, that I didn't know before.
Very helpful into forming a nice adult from a child, and very open-minded.
I loved this book, and I believe that every teen should read it, so they can become more confident about themselves, and start to believe in themselves, and make decisions about their body on their own.

Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated The Laughing Corpse (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #2) in Books

A real page turner. I found it hard to put down and was reading it every time I had a little break. Although, there are a lot of repeats in description, actions, and even dialogue from the first book (I grew a little tired of the repeated telling of "sweat running down her spine", or the "Anita nodded but realized so and so couldn't see and then spoke") but it was still enjoyable. I was a little disappointed that Jean-Claude didn't make as much of an appearance in this story but hoping for more in the next one.

Not very good

This movie uses the fact that it is intended for a younger audience to ignore major plot holes and problems. The teenage characters make some very questionable decisions in the movie, and are rewarded for it in the end. The "bad" kids in the movie don't face any consequences for leaving another teenager injured and stranded in the desert. While the "good"kid steal money from an ATM, but thats apparently okay because the robot dog hacked it. That's just the start of the problems I found in this movie, but maybe a kid would enjoy it.
Flynn (6 KP) rated The Good That Men Do (Star Trek: Enterprise #11) in Books

I quite hated the ending of Enterprise. Trip was one of my favorite characters, and his sudden death under odd circumstances annoyed me. I'm so grateful to have found this book, bring Trip back for me. Though I don't like his new life of secrecy, he is at least still alive. I liked the exploration in the bonds between Trip and T'pol, and Shran and Jhamel, and the overall history cover up of Trip's death that Nog and Jake discovered. It did reminisce "These are the voyages..." a bit with Jake and Nog, but I thought it was a clever transition.

Loved this series!! How can anyone NOT love Kellan Kyle!? Just the sweetest guy and the love he feels for Kiera is so apparent. I could totally relate to Kiera, I really loved her character and found her to be so much like myself. I loved watching the two of them grow together and was amazed at the level of trust they could find for each other in some of the most difficult situations. I laughing hysterically, loving the banter between the guys on the road, Griffin's mouth ;-) and then, of course, crying at every turn. I CAN'T WAIT to read Kellan's POV!!
He-Man rocks!
I love docs like this where they explain how something you loved as a child came to be and all the stories behind it.
Basically Mattel was kicking themselves after they passed on Star Wars figures to Kenner and was trying to figure out something they could do themselves. They were interested in Conan the Barbarian, but then found out the movie was going to be hard R so they decided to come up with their own line which ended up being hugely successful.
Wish I would've kept all my He-Man toys!

Fun game mechanics reminds me of monopoly (2 more)
Lots of different strategies
2 parts for the game can turn suddernly
I guess it is a game I had to play
This was a fun Game, which lasts a couple of hours. It requires a lot of planning to build your industry and to plan for the age of rail which is the latter part of the game. There is a lot to do in the game and i found it to be quite a heavy strategy game for the group of people I was with

Good series to start for a quick read.
I was worried this book was over hyped and once I finally read it I was pleased, I found that it was a very slow start and it didn't really pick up and grab me by the seat of my pants until I was almost finished with the book. I loved it and ended up binging the second book once it was released and plan to do it again if there ends up being a third part. I ended up really enjoying her writing style as the characters began to develop.
