Great retelling but kind of ruined one of my favorite villains
All in all I did actually enjoy this movie I love that they gave all the characters really great and interesting backgrounds and played around with the whole whole really a villain theme.

The one thing that I really found that I wasn't a big fan of with how they changed one of my favorite villains of all time. Maleficent was always such a great villain because she literally cursed child because they simply didn't invite her to a party it was one of my favorite things about her and while I did enjoy this version of her I still miss the just flat-out evil that she was in the original cartoon version.

Pretty average
I hadn’t been expecting much from The Boss Baby, and I’m afraid it pretty much lived up to my expectations.

I love Alec Baldwin voicing the baby, and I think the actual plot idea is fairly imaginative and a good take on families having a new baby. The animation was good although I wouldn’t expect any less from Dreamworks. It’s just a shame the rest of the film is a bit of a let down. It’s been made mostly for kids, so I found little to keep me amused (anything vaguely funny had already been shown in the trailer) and the storyline itself was fairly predictable. It’s one of the many watchable but instantly forgettable animated films.

I loved, LOVED this book! As soon as I finished I found myself wishing I had other books by Alexandra Potter that I could read. She has such an easy-going, entertaining writing style. I literally could not put this book down!
It tells the story of Lucy & Nate, 2 teenagers studying in Venice who meet & share an amazing summer. Of course they move back to the real world on separate continents thinking that they are meant to be together forever. I don't want to say anymore than that because I don't want to spoil the fantastic arc of the story! If you want to know more, I guess you'll just have to read the book yourself! I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!!!

Oh my gosh! What an awesome book!! I'm not even quite sure how to describe it. This book is quite unlike anything I have read before. It is part coming of age tale, part fairy tale, part love story. Celia & Marco are interesting characters who possess extraordinary abilities while still being real. The story sucks you in from the first sentence and doesn't let you go even at the final sentence...I found myself in denial that it was over. It was one of those books you just don't want to end but yet you can't seem to put down.
I finished this book a huge fan of Erin Morgenstern. I hope she will write more books as excellent and addicting as The Night Circus!!!

false hope
Honestly, I found this book very flat. I read it twice, hoping that I would somehow feel something besides boredom while reading this book. The two main characters are exactly the same with the exact same personality.

The narration in somewhat stilted and quite bland and gets really cliche and annoying at points. There was very litter character development and you're more told how to feel instead of being able to connect properly with the characters.

That said, It was a fast read that didn't take much time to complete. Even so, by the middle of it I was wondering when it would end cause it kind of drones on about the same few things over and over.

I found Searching for Tina Turner to be very difficult to read. I was frustrated by the writing. It was unclear and confusing. I could not tell who was saying what, or where the characters were. The writing switched from past tense to present tense and confused me. I didn’t get very far before I had to put it down.

I didn’t particularly like Tina, nor her husband Randall, I don’t agree with divorce, I was frustrated by how Lena was searching for her answers, and I could not get past all of that enough to enjoy this story. Call me biased, but this one just wasn’t for me. As much as I wanted to, I really could not enjoy finish this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book and practically read it in one shot. Libby was a great character; I related to her (to a certain extent) and thought she was fairly realistic. However, there were a couple of things that bothered me: did the author have to make Ed a complete bore? I don't think it's bad to have two decent love interests. Second, did Nick have an upper-class raising or not? Lastly, the ending was too abrupt, I would have like there to have been a chapter or epilogue more; seemed to me that there were a few loose ends. Otherwise, I found it to be an easy, fast, and fun read. Jane Green's books haven't disappointed me yet.

These were all cute and fun stories. My favorite was Valerie King's A Tangle of Kittens. While I was a little weary of the plot at first, I soon warmed up to it and it was a delightful story (the description on the back of the book is misleading though). Both Anne and Marecham are terrific and they have great conversations between them. The Birthday Kitten is next on my list and it was very sweet, loved both Johnna and Ramsey. Finally, Belling the Kitten was very fun, although not my favorite of the three, I found Amaris to be a twit at first. Love the cats in all the stories too! So cute! All in all a great little Valentine's anthology.

I really enjoyed this book, probably because I found Shannon so relatable. To me she seemed like a real person who I could be friends with. So she was self-absorbed sometimes and all woe is me, aren't a lot people, especially when they're 24/25? Although I did think Emma was wrong to want Blaine to be with them if they went out for a girls' night, which to her turned into a double date thing (this was said in passing btw). I know I wouldn't want my boyfriend with me if I wanted to hang out with my best friend. I thought Stephanie Rowe did a perfect job at balancing every element in the book and was very entertained throughout.

This was a good story affected by some pacing issues in my opinion, thus the rating which might surprise some people. Overall, I feel good about the storyline, the character development and the gut-punching emotions. I do think it could have been a little shorter and more dynamically paced. I wasn’t sure if I was going to settle into Tudor England, it took some time but I did settle.

Matthew and Diana’s relationship dynamic was rather different in past times, I found it inevitable, interesting and sometimes annoying. I enjoyed the band of waifs and strays that became part of their family.

Great narration and I’m already lamenting that Times Convert won’t have Ikeda.
