3.5 stars, i think.

I guess the storyline might not be for everyone but i didn't have a problem with it--it is fiction after all. I liked the description of Hawaii, it sounds beautiful, and kinda deadly. I loved the connection between all the co-workers, they really were like one big family.

I loved the second chance romance, though I found it a little strange how suddenly Logan's attitude changed to Ronnie. One minute they're arguing and winding each other up, the next they're kissing and admitting their love for each other. I know it'd been brewing in the background for seven years but... yeah, i didn't quite understand it.

I really enjoy Cara Hunter's Adam Fawley series so was eager to read this, a standalone thriller but, unfortunately, whilst I enjoyed the story, I liked the characters (although not many were likeable!) and I really enjoyed the mystery of who did the deed, I wasn't overly keen on the writing format which I found quickly became tedious due to the scene setting rather than focusing on the actual story.

Despite my misgivings on the style, I did like the twists and turns and, like I said, overall I enjoyed it and I thank HarperCollins UK, Harperfiction and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of Murder in the Family.

Antonio Banderas' Zorro-alike Puss in Boots was arguable the break-out star from Shrek 2.

So much so, that he got his own spin-off in 2011 'Puss in Boots' which, from memory, I felt lacked the spark of his earlier entries.

So much so, that it was just over a decade later that he got his second solo movie, in this.

Which, artistically (and, I felt, to it's detriment) takes its cue from the 'Into the Spider-verse' movies and so, like those, comes across as an over-caffeinated sugar-rush of a headache, which (IMO) overshadows the whole message about found family and living your life to its fullest.

YMMV, of course.
