"This song is from one of the Éthiopiques compilations and I really got really into them a few years ago. I was touring around Southern France and Spain and I remember listening to that music for the first time and seeing the beautiful landscape out the window. There’s just so much emotion and feeling in his playing and it really made me want to have saxophone on the record. “It's interesting sometimes with instrumental music, how it can almost make you feel more than a good lyric will make you feel. It provokes something that touches you on an almost spiritual level. I think that's the goal as a musician - whether it's instrumental or it has lyrics, you're always trying to touch someone in a really deep way; you want to try to get at the core of somebody."

"This is the easily the best album of the last 10 years. I saw him recently, in London with Hot Chip, and it was absolutely fucking brilliant. James Murphy can do no wrong, and being an unlikely front man shouldn’t be any reason to stop you from being one. He just makes me think "I wish I’d thought of that. I wish I’d written that song." It can be hard to mix dance and alternative rock, but he does it brilliantly. I see a connection between what we did as New Order and what he does. The sad thing is, we were playing a tour in France with New Order and LCD were there, and they were all there on laptops. I saw them and thought, 'Should I go over and say I think you’re fucking brilliant?' And I decided: no."

**I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review**

3.5 stars.

I really like the books cover, which is always a good thing :)

So, this is the debut story from the author and I was intrigued from the beginning. Why did she have these dreams? Why did she recognise the lake in the picture?

I liked Nathan. He seemed like a really nice, sexy guy who had his eye on Tess right from the start. And some of the sex scenes were fairly steamy... ;P

The story concept was different to any other I've read in the "mates" sense, though I wont spoil it by telling you how and let you read it for yourself.

There are a few minor wording issues but considering the author is from France, it is overall very good.
