Although I have never celebrated Guy Fawkes Night (and you have never celebrated Thanksgiving), I hope all my British friends have a great holiday and it is not too cold to behold some fireworks!

We got lucky with the weather in Edinburgh, it was torrential rain all day yesterday, but had brightened up today. We're taking the kids to the local fireworks display (and we even managed to remember to buy sparklers this year!).
And we have started to celebrate Thanksgiving, in a way - we have embraced the nonsense shopping-fights on the morning after!

"As funny as it was when it was written, and more tragic, and more true. One of my favorite laugh/cry novels, and one I talk about with friends and teach to my students."

"Gorgeous and gritty in every way. It’s a time capsule of late sixties New York City, and it’s about a bond between two unlikely friends. The acting, direction, editing, and score are downright perfect."
